fukking love this album.... but where is the damn studio version of the song he did on Colbert :damn::feedme:

Not coming out.

In an interview with Complex this afternoon, To Pimp A Butterfly producerTerrace Martin confirmed that Kendrick Lamar will not release the "Untitled" song that he premiered on the series finale of The Colbert Report back in December. According to Martin, who produced eight tracks on Kendrick's new album, there is no master recording of the song, which was written specifically for the live Colbert performance and intended to be "just a moment" rather than an official, commercial release.

They was filming that King Kunta sh1t over @ the Compton Swap Meet. :mjlol:

That song is cheeks :camby:

well no matter what the single ended up being in either case I think the video would be wack...

I actually expect fully for the remainder of Kendrick's great career his videos will be what Nas production is at points...

Difference is he is making great bodies of work so i could care less about videos anymore. Its funny how things change when you get older. 10 years ago when I was younger and the "Hype williams era" was ending i woulda looked at videos as the representation of an album but now who cares about videos :mjlol:

I miss the days of really dope videos. The video for "I" really made me appreciate the song more. One thing I'll give this new generation of MC's credit for is I mostly enjoy their videos. Cole, Drake, Kendrick, Wale, and Gambino all drop rather interesting and creative videos that enhance the feel of the songs

Really bro? I mean I guess I'm just indifferent to it. If it looks good cool but I'm not really bent on it. If I recall the Fugees "Ready Or Not" helped start the iconic videos in the mid 90s to the early 00s. I dont think we really could get that back and should focus more on content. Lets not forget that it was Hype responsible for all of that. Not saying to be pigeonholed and say we can't try because Hype is not in the game no more and nobody can be good like him, but its about making dope hip hop records.

On a side note this is not concrete just a feeling but with "Black Messiah" and "To Pimp A Butterfly" I have a feeling Erykah Badu will be the next surprise to drop a conscious record.
