*decent album, not classic IMO lost my attention towards the middle.
may change with more listens.

* Negus and the media hold Kendrick's music to a higher regard,Not the first rapper to speak about
black issues. Cole is boring, Lupe is cryptic, I could go on with Talib,Krit,Blu,Roots,Mos Def,Common...
Am I the only one who feels this way?

*Kendrick is from Cali & its safe to say he was influenced by 80-90's West coast.
Nate,The Pharcyde ,Snoop & Pac, NWA,Souls of Mischief....etc, all had runs
while he was growing up . Not surprising to hear a mix of jazz & funk.

*Production Wise its a 10. Hip-Hop in 2015 has been on point production wise.
Thundercat,Terrace Martin,Robert Glasper all made big contributions to the production. I would recommend
their work if you like the the production. Knxwledge,Flying Lotus produced tracks, also worth listening.
If the Album got you interested in Funk and Jazz Listen to the parliament, Funkadelic
albums along with some Coltrane and Miles,Monk,Mingus.

Listened once.

It sounds nice. It's cool....

But it literally has NO bangers..

Like what would be the stand out undeniable joints on this?!

I'll wait.

If u were looking for radio hits...this album isn't gonna have it. It wasn't meant to.

K. Dot wanted your undeniable attention for 1 hour and 19 minutes and he wanted you to listen to his EVERY word. Not be jumping around in the club yelling that u running with your woes :troll:

I wasn't a big fan 9f gkmc but I absolutely love this album from start to finish. I think it's genius. "How much is a dollar worth" is one of the dopest songs ever
