Again, the arrangements and transitions alone make this album extremely notable.

There is an assortment of social issues explored, especially through statements with implied meaning.

Hating is not allowed, especially in comparison to the rap world going nuts over much more bland shyt.

It's only fitting that the album is heavy on jazz. Jazz music took the pain and struggle of the times and made it into art. Black folks have undergone a transformation in consciousness the past few years for a lot of reasons, so Kendrick took that and made some dope shyt.

Aside from trying to get rich and famous, that's what art is supposed to be. Don't see how anyone dislike this project.

There are no wack songs on this album.

I'm glad he shouted out Killer Mike cause when it comes to discussing politics, Kendrick sounds like a high schooler talking about race and sociology...and Killer Mike sounds like a Nobel winning laureate on the matter.

Jay Electronica sounds like a PhD/Spiritual GURU

THAT is how radically different his skill level is on the matter.

But hey, I'm dealing with a lot of dudes who don't have anything past a bachelors degree or who lack real background in these topics including books read, and actual social experience facing or solving these problems.

That's another thing I didn't get. Run The Jewels 2 was critically acclaimed. So why blame critics for Killer Mike not going platinum?
