This album definitely gets better each spin. It's sounds very different from Kendrick's normal sound, but when actually when thinking about it Kendrick's sound is ever evolving. TPAB, Damn, and MM&TBS all are very distinct from one another. Dot needs his credit for ever evolving.​

I had a chance to listen to it twice from beginning to end. It’s not that it’s bad, but some of the subject matter is just too heavy to listen to back to back. With that said, I would probably rank this towards the middle of his discography (where he has zero mediocre albums).

Nah if you get Taylor Paige the ACTRESS to guest on your track you damn sure better get her to ACT in the music video.


Plus Kendrick himself is a decent actor and if the “stage play” theory is true then its better that he be in the videos

I REALLY feel strongly that Heart Part 5 belongs on this album

About to add it as either the intro or right after Purple Hearts to conclude disc 1

It’s a shame Kendrick and Pharrell don’t do more music together. They haven’t missed yet. (I know silent hill isn’t one of em.)

Album has def grown on me and the songs that are great are classics

Still a few skippables for me but I found myself wanting to revisit many of the songs on here
