Album has def grown on me and the songs that are great are classics

Still a few skippables for me but I found myself wanting to revisit many of the songs on here
Skippables like what?

It should replace Crown.
Idk breh that hook.

"I can't please everybody,I can't please everybody" is hard asf to me lol.

I said it’s my favorite Kendrick album. GKMC is objectively his best album.
There is no objectivity when it comes to music. It’s all a matter of personal taste. In my opinion, TPAB is his best as well as my favorite album of his (and I like all his albums, so it’s not like I think Section.80 is some trash). The only type of opinions I might question is when someone is clearly trolling (like saying Nastradamus is Nas best album or if they felt Yeezus is Kanye’s best).

From my objective point of view. I will say that. Cause I personally don’t think TPAB is all that. And u will find the most people saying GKMC is Kendrick’s best in real life.

I’m not even trying to convince you to like TPAB more, but I’m just curious which songs in particular do you think are mediocre? If it’s more than half the album, then don’t bother.

It’s WILD to me that nikkas on here rating Section 80 on the lower half of his discography.
5 commercial releases so it's not like there's much room to shuffle shyt around. It's a flawless catalog. Now you add in UU, OD and maybe B. Panther OST and things probably look more favorable for S.80. I only rank it lower because it's the foundation he iterated on. Some songs on there still my favorites though ( Hol Up, Rigamortis).

As for you saying GKMC is objectively (lol, trippin) the best... What I'll concede is that he probably lost some previous fans with TPAB. Like, I ain't actually heard anyone in real life say "GKMC is better", but I know people that bounced because TPAB was too much of a turn from their tastes.

I'd say TPAB is his best album. Lyrically, music wise etc...it's his magnum opus and the type of album an artist or band pulls off once (or like 5 times in the case of people like Prince or Stevie Wonder).

TPAB
GKMC
DAMN
S80

Too early to place Big Steppers but I don't see myself placing it above DAMN. I feel like this probably is a 3/5 or 3.5/5 album whereas DAMN is a 4 for me. But too early for definitive statements for me.

Nobody who says GKMC is Kendrick best album can be trusted. Lol. No.

I NEVER in a million years thought Kendrick could put out a project that comes anywhere near TPAB. It's probably my 2nd favorite album ever(right behind Tetsuo & Youth). Literally flawless from start to finish. GKMC was really really good, and DAMN was good too, but TPAB was that ONE.

With that said, few spins in, Mr Morale and The Big Steppers left me with that same feeling of awe . I'm not going to say it's better than TPAB, but it's definitely a masterful piece of work. This is why you don't rush artists. When you're dealing with true greats, the wait is usually worth it. I think the only track where I'm kinda ehh on was Rich Spirit. Not bad or anything, but I could have done without it.

5/5

Showing this love even though I disagree with the Rich Spirit part. That's one of the more radio-friendly cuts on this :martin:. You right about everything else though.
