I'm not sure what the problem is even if he was actually typecast. He's a comedian; nearly ALL comedians are typecast in their movie roles. Look at Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Kevin James, Mike Epps, etc., etc. Even if we were take a loose definition of typecast, all of these guys are essentially the same as Kevin Hart. Him being typecast would probably mean something if he was a career actor... Samuel L. Jackson being typecast would be a problem, a standup being typecast is just regular business.I'm not a hater. I did screw up saying he was typecast in three different roles. He is a typecast though. Every role he's played, or at least the ones I've seen him in have him playing the "mitch". He's even parodied that on that show he has on BET.
I've never understood what the problem people have of Kevin Hart flooding the market or the "overexposure" considering the fact he gets more and more popular with every act, so apparently a lot of people are enjoying it. The Coli really seems to have an issue with him striking while the iron is hot, as though it'd be more commendable if he disappeared on some Dave Chappelle shyt and then tried to build back up ten years down the line... and then y'all would be hitting him with the "Don't leave while you're hot, that's how Mase screwed up."
