We just watched the Olympics and confirmed that Bron and AD are still 2 of the best 5 players or so players in the world. Yet they can’t get out of being a 7 seed. Why? Not enough shooting.

I swear we overthink this shyt. If nothing else, KAT gives NY the ability to play 4 and even 5 out and teams will simply not be able to beat them on a nightly basis unless you can match that talent level; Boston, Philly, OK, a small handful of teams. With Julius Randle and other non shooters, you can clog lanes, sag, etc. This shyt is so simple.

And then the role player argument. It’s as if people think mentioning roles players makes them smarter. Role players are a dime o dozen. You just can’t have NONE of them like phoenix. Otherwise, you think there ain’t 100 nggas who can do what Peyton Pritchard can do? Where tf did Sam Houser come from? When you are that heavy in talent and you can ask your role players to do less, they shine. If Cam Payne is your 6th man he’s over-tasked and you’re in trouble. If Cam Payne is your 9th man he can rock out and you have more than enough depth.

We’ve seen this movie before; it isn’t automatic that you start your 5 best biggest names. It may be best to stagger them and have one come off the bench. If they start Kat at the 5 yea OG starts but I’m not convinced their best starting lineup isn’t Kat at the 4 next to Mitch. And if so, I’d rather go Brunson-Hart-Bridges with OG a super 6th man. He’s still gonna be an integral piece, close, get minutes, earn his money, etc.

If everybody (but Brunson) isn’t ready to sacrifice this won’t work. But I think it will bc they’re all low key type dudes
