I think degree requirements and certifications and anything that verifies independently
seeking knowledge or training should be IN PLACE however access to that knowledge or training
should be LOW or NO COST and subsidized through the tax payer.
Even then, I don't think this will be an issue for state/federal jobs like the VA or NASA or CDC where
being a Pharmacist or Physician or Engineer or Data Scientist with extensive training actually matters.
Probably not so much for the receptionist.
Either way, I'll never poo-poo education, it's a wonderful fukking thing.

I don't think this will pan out for many high skill jobs but I could see it happening for some job where
the degree requirement is basically bullshyt.
However, anything that requires applying that education regularly CAN and SHOULD have some barriers
to entry.
And I like I said earlier, the focus should be on making education and training more accessible for those who want it.
Not eradicating it entirely.
