ok, but let’s deal with reality as we know it rather than a whimsical future that is unlikely to materialize in this capitalist society.

college tuition is prohibitively expensive to a historically marginalized - and, consequently, impoverished - black community.

we either, as studies show, incur insurmountable debt - and, oftentimes, without attaining degrees - or are unable to afford tuition altogether.

removing a four year degree requirement, while still necessitating rigorous gatekeeping that takes skillset into consideration, will disproportionately aid black men and women in this country.

:francis:
Going to an affordable community college until getting the money and job skills before transferring to a university is better than dropping four year requirements for jobs that currently need them because there is reason those jobs require those qualifications.

How about lowering the cost per unit for community colleges so young and working people can afford to go so the pathway to a four year degree is easier?

Let's deal with reality as we know it: where do black people rank in post-secondary enrollment?

The class revolution you waitin' for with Marx ain't comin' anytime soon.
Sacrifices gotta be made if black people are going to improve their condition.

This will benefit everyone else, besides Black people. Black Women are the most educated group in American, so this will actually harm Black Women and Black Men:

Federal Workforce and Civilian Labor Force Participation Rates, African Americans by Gender, FY 2020
AA%20Women%20Figure%201111.png

This is something that will benefit black men and women because applicants who have degrees will obviously be chosen over ones that don't unless the ones without degrees have relevant experience that degree holders don't.

And that chart actually shows how this would benefit black men. A demographic that some people here keep saying she's ignoring.

But I know some people will just be mad no matter what. If she doesn't say anything it's "she doesn't care about us and won't do anything for us" and if she does, then you get posts like this:
This lil cute ass indian bih is lying as usual....
I'll fukk her but I'll never trust her

It doesn't matter what she says or does to some people, they'll be mad regardless.

Oh ok,

The same brain she had in 2020 that couldn't get her elected. Is it that same brain that has you excited?

Was it Biden brain that got him the w over her brain?

She ran to the left of Biden and lost. She learned from that experience that being too liberal will turn off people even from within the Democrat party, let alone the conservative leaning swing voters her team wants to get.

The goal is to get elected, pass policies that are popular and that the general public want, and remove magaism as a threat because all they'll have is opposition to policies that people like--similar to how they kept trying to run on repealing obama care only to realize that people actually prefer it to the shytshow that we had before so they gave up on that.

You get in there, get popular policies in, and force republicans to come up with something better. If they can't, they'll take the L as they should.

She's an idiot, some jobs have degree requirements some don't. I have hired several people who didn't have a degree but had experience.
Yeah she full of shyt. It’s only a few title 5 jobs that need degrees like revenue agent you need an accounting degree, any scientist/engineer GS jobs you need a degree, contract specialist you need a degree, lawyer at DOJ and mathematicians.

But 90% of GS title 5 jobs you don’t need a degree. Experience is king in the GS world, sometimes the hiring manager will allow education substitution for developmental positions like GS-5/7 with a bachelors degree, GS-9 with a masters and GS-11 with a PHD.

Most of Hybrid title 38 jobs like Med Techs, pharmacist and etc you need licensure not a degree. A few like therapist you do need a degree.

Title 38 is doctors and RNs you need a degree but RN minimal requirements is low. You need associates degree with two years of experience or a bachelors degree for Nurse level 1.

It’s just low hanging fruit for her to hang her hat on because even if she do remove the requirements from the few GS jobs that require degree you think the hiring manager at the IRS looking to hire a revenue agent gonna hire Joe Smith from Amazon factory. No, it’s gonna be somebody with a degree and CPA with some tax experience. All this is gonna do is remove the education substitution people used to hire people without experience. Then it’ll be strictly experience. It’ll just make it harder for the younger people like a recent graduate. With the way the government works with hiring you have be sure you hired the right person it takes months to fill a seat.

This is a great idea and stands to benefit black people significantly, I don't see how y'all are against this. On the job learning trumps a formal education (with no experience) so hard too. I think it's better to get people into their field of interest and hands-on sooner, than it is to have them go through 4 years of hoops with no real work to supplement their education (chances are they'll still need extensive training just to get the basic and intermediate aspects of their respective job down).

*It's better for certain fields I should've said.

Did Biden change the shyt back??

I remember Trump signed the executive order in 2020 removing the degree requirement for non engineering and specialist jobs.

It's fukk Trump all day...but this was already a thing.
