It's a very simple policy that could help a lot of people. I personally would like to see a federal jobs guarantee of some kind.
She definitely needs to add this to her platform, but I think she won't because she wants the conservatives without a party to vote for her.Incrementalism
She's gonna announce something on federal decriminalization a week before election day
Naw I hope this goes through, that's progress for a lot of ppl
She's an idiot, some jobs have degree requirements some don't. I have hired several people who didn't have a degree but had experience.
She's not talking about civilian jobs but federal jobs. All of our job announcements say a degree can be used in place of experience. Then they detail how much experience a degree can mitigate. A degree is not required for many of our jobs at my agency. So I'm throwing the bullshyt flag. It sounds good but it's going to do absolutely nothing. I'm a fed and I'm a hiring manager. All my positions are 13s I don't care about degrees just credentials. I'm not sending people to school for 4 months to hope they can learn the job, especially when there are plenty of qualified people who have credentials and experience.no she's not. damn near every job I've had that required a degree, I could have done without going to college. obviously jobs like teachers, nurses, lawyers, accountants etc need degrees, but most white collar jobs, they teach u the shyt u need to know anyways.
Nah...
Fed jobs pay below the private sector, soon as those demands for higher wages get loud enough and jobs get cut from the budget or the operation gets outsourced to a contractor it won't be all fun and games. Happened to a couple people I knew, I left those jobs before it happened to me.
Contracted positions with the feds allow degree qualification flexibility as is.
Stop lowering the bar as costs rise.
