No, the point is that it has no chance of passing with the current Supreme Court. They struck down affirmative action because there can be no race-based policies. Using that precedent, a federal circuit court struck down a business loan program for black women-owned businesses because it was tied to race. The same group that sued to get affirmative action overturned is now using that precedent to go after any other race-based program. So please tell me how a race-based reparations law would stand up to this Supreme Court? The bill is dead on arrival because the courts will rule it unconstitutional based on recent precedent.So y'all want a blue congress, blue supreme Court before we should press for reparations?
