What can Congress do to lower rent?

rent control in some form is one option. if not a strict cap, it could be a policy that mandates relaxed rates of rent according to certain economic metrics.

trump’s policy is, “fukk you, the rent should be higher. and, if you’re evicted because you can’t pay, we will lock your ass up and put you to work in our prison factories, because the supreme court ruled that homelessness can be deemed a criminal act. cry moar and deal with it.”
