Justin Timberlake was smart with this new release by not changing his sound. Unlike Usher who completely changed his sound in between Confession and Here I Stand.

Usher should have understood the rule of, "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it". Usher have completely lost me with the shyttt he put out now.:trash::snoop:

You are exactly right. Usher went from Confessions(a classic) to that eurotrash shyt he put out on his last album. JT really is playing it right.

Like I was saying earlier. I wouldn't even been mad at Usher if he went the R. Kelly fly classic route.

At least R. Kelly kept his same sound for about 20 years before he switch to this. Which is still good music by the way.

Its sad to see how far Usher has fallen off. I remember back in 04 when that nikka was on top of the world, easily the most popular r&b/Pop star in the world, bigger than Beyonce. That nikka was on fire. TRL was still on at the time, and I remember the media would always compare JT and Usher...and Usher was the bigger artist at the time. Who woulda thought that 8 years later, Usher would be damn near Irrelevant, while JT is still make waves?

But I don't feel too sorry for the homie Usher...I'm sure that Bieber money aint lookin funny in the light:salute:

Usher failed when he fell in love with that man looking beast.

She stole all his swag for a whole album and he's slowly getting it back.

I hate that suit and tie track. That shyt sounds like the epitome of generic department store r&b. I hope JT got some better shyt on his album.

I thought Suit & Tie was dope and kind of refreshing now that Mirrors track is whats generic to me. The title alone says enough. With that said I still agree with the premise of the thread. I didnt have problem with climax but some of this other 4 on the floor shyt needs to stop from all these black R&B singers, the shyt has no feeling to it whatsoever.

Here I stand is better than 8701 and my way.

8701 is vastly overrated because the singles were so good.

What are the flaws with Here I stand? the album is simply great. No techno garbage just straight R&B melodies and beats.

Intro
Love in This Club (featuring Young Jeezy)
This Ain't Sex
Trading Places
Moving Mountains

What's Your Name (featuring will.i.am)
Prayer For You Interlude
Something Special
Love You Gently
Best Thing (featuring Jay-Z)
Before I Met You
His Mistakes
Appetite
What's A Man To Do
Lifetime
Love in This Club Part II (featuring Beyonce and Lil Wayne)
Here I Stand

The only good songs on that album......album was not that good at all....

Usher was a fool to jump on that Breezy techno pop r&b :trash:, instead of taking :mj: lane like he was prop up to be. Now, you have this cac sounding like :mj: 'Off The Wall' circa. :pacspit:

Fingers cross, D'Angelo comes out with that third album and body all this faux r&b music. :noah:
