And his last album only went Gold... :ohhh:

Usher is no longer a Platinum Artist... :krs:

:skip:

These dudes don't understand. Usher went Diamond. He's a diamond artist. He doesn't need to put out 5 albums in 3 years and do half a dozen of features. He's spread too thin with his sound.

JT has done 3 albums in ten years(this one being his 3)

Justified has sold 7 milli worldwide

Lovesound is Diamond

and this one will probably do Justified numbers.

Usher also fukked up by stopping his acting.

Justin has been in

Alpha Dog

Social Network

Friends With Benefits

Bad Teacher

Yogi/Shrek as voice over.

And these aren't small films. We talking about 145 Million worldwide plus on some of these films. Usher :yayo: by not continuing to act. He had the popularity and charisma to do it. She's All That and Light It Up...Now JT is supposed to be acting in a Coen Brothers film this year

He won :yeshrug:

Here I Stand was cool, but the problem was he switched it up after his best album. You usually switched it up on the downside.

However, I do agree with this thread JT learned from Usher, he might go plat in the first week, def gold.

Idk bruh.. The album as a whole wasnt all that.. but these were right here are some memorable gems :ohlawd:

This album was okay. It's done 5 mili worldwide. I think his team just panicked because of the success of Confessions. They made it seem like this album was a complete flop which is wasn't. :yeshrug: He's put out an album every 2 years now and a shytload of features in between.

I didn't even know Looking 4 Myself was a studio album. I remember Usher vs. Raymond, but it's sad because dude is only 34 and for some reason his sound, swag comes off like a 40 year old trying to stay relevant.

:salute: I have my moments. But this is a good discussion away from the emotional stans in the booth.

Suit and Tie an abomination.

It's okay. It's grown on me. It's not as big as Sexy/Back :whew:. It reminds me when Like I love You came out/premiered at the VMA's and people were
39-Jay-Z-Ehhh.gif

It'll do fine. This new track might sounds formulaic but he's given us the proper amount of time to miss him. He's got the hype machine rolling right now. I almost feel like the song should have debuted in October for the whole Suit/Tie swag. It seems like such a celebratory track, X-mas/New Years. Just interesting release date considering Sexy/Back premiered in July. My love wasn't released until the fall and What Goes Around/Until the End of time. January 2007.

I wonder how he times the releases this go around.

Only feature that has made sense to me for Usher in the past 4 years is

Everything else is throwaway. Touch N You with Ross was completely unnecessary.

Dive, Numb, Scream, Dirty Dancer, Rest of my life all :trash:

That is :wow:..That's a management team who has no idea wtf they are doing. His timing has been so weird. Dude shows up out of nowhere and does a track with R.Kelly, creates a buzz, then releases his single the next year(love in this club) :mindblown:...

Justin Timberlake was smart with this new release by not changing his sound. Unlike Usher who completely changed his sound in between Confession and Here I Stand.

Usher should have understood the rule of, "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it". Usher have completely lost me with the shyttt he put out now.:trash::snoop:

No, Here I Stand was really terrible IMO. I was very disappointed with that album. It's like he didn't even try and just rush through that album. You could tell that his heart wasn't even into that album(no homo).

Here I stand was the perfect follow up to Confessions and it was a continuation of the sound

What is there not to like about that album?

Usher didn't change his style, you're just judging his music on the singles he released as yall usually do with R&B

His last album is not very good though

The thing with Usher is he can easily turn it around; but he seem to be stuck on this techno sound for some reason. Instead of going back to his roots.

R. Kelly didn't change his sound until the down end of his career.

shyttt, Usher could have went the new R. Kelly sound route.

Breh I have been a fan of Usher since My Way. Here I Stand quality is not even close to My Way, 8701, & Confession.

You're not making any sense.

Love in the club was a great single. Its not the techno stuff you're always complaining about.

Touch n' you is a good record, true to form, but still good

Usher is not some super creative artist that pushes the genre and invents.

He is a guy that has a great voice, style and dance moves.

He usually gets great records to sing, but his vision or influence is never imposed on an album run.

Dude is trying to make the biggest records possible.

He made a true R&B album with Here I stand and yall fronted.

Here I stand is better than 8701 and my way.

8701 is vastly overrated because the singles were so good.

What are the flaws with Here I stand? the album is simply great. No techno garbage just straight R&B melodies and beats.
