Here I stand is better than 8701 and my way.

8701 is vastly overrated because the singles were so good.

What are the flaws with Here I stand? the album is simply great. No techno garbage just straight R&B melodies and beats.

Intro
Love in This Club (featuring Young Jeezy)
This Ain't Sex
Trading Places
Moving Mountains
What's Your Name (featuring will.i.am)
Prayer For You Interlude
Something Special
Love You Gently
Best Thing (featuring Jay-Z)
Before I Met You
His Mistakes
Appetite
What's A Man To Do
Lifetime
Love in This Club Part II (featuring Beyonce and Lil Wayne)
Here I Stand

Usher's current sound is not pop...That's the bottom line.

But his current singles on the radio are quality records, not hit records......

J.T. is overrated but is a true pop star with a strong fan base, but check it, he has no timeless hits....

You're not making any sense.

Love in the club was a great single. Its not the techno stuff you're always complaining about.

Touch n' you is a good record, true to form, but still good

Usher is not some super creative artist that pushes the genre and invents.

He is a guy that has a great voice, style and dance moves.

He usually gets great records to sing, but his vision or influence is never imposed on an album run.

Dude is trying to make the biggest records possible.

He made a true R&B album with Here I stand and yall fronted.

:dwillhuh:

Can you subtract. I said 4 years. That would mean 2009. Love in the Club came out in 2008.

Only feature that has made sense to me for Usher in the past 4 years is

:bryan:

I hate that suit and tie track. That shyt sounds like the epitome of generic department store r&b. I hope JT got some better shyt on his album.

If Usher retired after Confessions he'd be an undisputed R&B legend. That was his apex. "My Boo" (all 30 versions) had the radio on lock in '04/'05.

:wow: Good times.
