yes that has been the thought process since Hip Hop became a viable business but with several of the genres biggest and best stars catching up to 40 & 50, it's time to change that way of thinking. even the "young" stars in the game are well into their 20's or even 30's. the fans like myself who are 30 or over and have been fans of the genre since they were kids still want to hear and see acts like Jay & Nas etc, i went and saw KRS One for his first ever appearance in Australia not 4 months ago! yeah he's not filling stadiums like The Rolling Stones but he never was i'm just using it as an example.

Every dude on that stage (except Beans and Bleek) are legends to one degree or another. They all got hits for DAYS and in a perfect world would be eating very good today. DMX had a foot in Hollywood and co-signs from the rock community. Meth had the Wu and a foot in Hollywood. Redman had a solid place in stoner rap and a decent food in Hollywood. Ja had a foot in Hollywood and was doing major numbers with the records.

Today DMX is crack head who lost everything. Meth is doing well in Hollywood but could have been doing SO much better. Redman is kind of just...there. And Ja is in jail...smh
