although I didnt attend, I was heartbreaking to see Morris Brown shut down,,, Morris Brown is the only black founded and funded HBCU in the AUC center... Yea the Story of MoB is a great one, Spelman and Morehouse were started by some White Baptist I believe. Many of these HBCUs were started by whites to breed "good negros" and they succeeded.

That's true. Morris Brown was the only AUC school founded by Black people. It's messed up that it was the one that folded.

Morris Brown used to produce some real soldiers for Black people in Atlanta.

MoB had horrible facilities tho. And they let anybody in. I got in there fresh out of boot camp with a GED and basically a 11th grade education. Looking back on it now I should've went to a juco or a trade school off rip. I had no business at a 4 year school. Im not ashamed to admit now that I was just wasting time. And when MoB folded and I went to ATL Metro, they had better everything than MoB. And Metro was the ratchet juco in the city so if they had better shyt than MoB than you already know a school like Ga Perimeter was blowing them out the water. That shyt costed way too much bread to be lapped by 2 year schools

I will say Morehouse indoctrinates lot of underperforming cats to think of themselves as being the Cream of the Crop but that aint worth no 100k of loans especially when there are better state schools for half the price.

100K in loans? Breh ain't Morehouse like 50 racks a year or something? And directional schools like G Southern and West GA not even above 10K a year. You can go all four there for less than a single year at Morehouse. No way in hell Ima send my future son there and drop damn quarter of a milly for him to come out making 30 racks a year when he can go to West Ga or even Clayton State and make even more than that for a fraction of the price. 30 racks a year? nikka you might as well start legit hustling and save the money and time of even going to school

Doesn't excuse how blacks graduate at higher rate. And if u combine the aucs and compare them against just the blacks at gsu it ain't that much of a spread

G State cost 1/3 the price of an AUC school, thats literally a major factor right there.
