lol this discussion isn't for you then.

How does a cheaper cost school mean they should graduate more blacks at a higher than our elite institutes?

If u wanna use that example there's like 100's of pwi that are cheaper that do that

Think Cost does not play a factor in Students Transferring brehs.

Ignore Higher Cost PWIs also have more Scholarship Money to offer students thus lessening the financial load brehs.

Georgia state actually graduates more blacks than aucs combined at a higher graduation rate:sas2:

I've been trying to Tell dudes here about ga state but they don't hear me:yeshrug:

The shyt is legit sad. I know the expensive HBCU side and the cheaper PWI with a large black pop side.

All I can say is stack your $$ up in this life..don't be a statistic. Then once you have it you can make some moves.

I'm curious as to why private HBCU's cost so much. You got brehs leaving after 2 yrs bc they can't afford to stay, or graduating with 50-100+ k in loans. Just to say you went to "____" school:patrice:

Morehouse acceptance rate is 76% :mjlol:

No school that notable should have an acceptance rate above 50%

They're letting any nikka in with a pulse!

If their acceptance rate were dropped to 50%, they'd probably have to close down. They wouldn't be able to haul in enough students.

Morehouse has to keep acceptance rates that high to continue to exist as an institution.

Spelman and Howard, on the other hand, have acceptance rate in the 40s.

I'm not sure the acceptance rate is the problem here. I think the quality of students is the real indicator here. For example

1) Drexel university is a good university in Philadelphia
- Has an acceptance rate of 76 percent
- But the entry gpa for Drexel is 3.47

2) Howard University is the premier HBCU in the county, but
- Has an acceptance rate of 49 percent
- Entry GPA is 3.31

* logic says that Drexel university gets the stronger students even though it has a higher acceptance rate ( which is why it's higher on the Princeton review ranking) So if Morehouse has a high acceptance but strong applicants I think they will be alright.

Edit: I just went through morehouse.

Morehouse college
1) Entry GPA 3.01
2) acceptance rate 76 percent
:ld: that's not so bad.

In that Tariq Nasheed thread with him visiting Haiti, it seemed like the locals were more into partying/dancing/blasting music than repairing and building their county :snoop:

not true...:comeon:Haitians are actively working to rebuild despite the hate and cheap shots from dusty knee-grows who actually think tariq went out there to do anything serious other then exploit a situation for financial gain

:ufdup:tariq should be worried about saving his own people who are dying as we speak because of the Fukashima fallout affecting the Bay area and killing folks with cancer...he should also be trying to rescue the untold number of girls trafficked/pimped through craigslust and backpage in his city and the wild infestation of filthy black trannies running around the damn place

also please stop spreading misinformation about a country who actually had the balls to kill cacs for their freedom

its not pretty and the media does Haiti no favors... but at least Haiti has been a free country for over two hundred years and counting and her people maybe dealing with adversity but at least have personal honor and dignity while knee-grows are complete junkies/proud fags out here plus just now realizing that the US national anthem is not something to be proud of...:ld:

You're ignoring what's being said entirely.
The best university in Cleveland, and one of the best universities in the country is a school that was consolidated (CIT and Western Reserve University) into one, Case Western Reserve University.
No one is "cutting AAs in the job force" by helping sustain schools with limited enrollment, there's a reason why many HBCUs have closed in the last 30 years, or have begun admitting far more White students.
Do you actually care about the schools are you just gonna try to fly a "history" flag around.

Nugga shut yo dumb ass up, consolidating HBCUs in the South is ending them. Southern politics ain't the same as the rest of the country. How do you guys not get this.

These schools are deliberately not funded by the State. These white folks down here could care less about Black people. We fight everyday down here to make these states do what they are supposed too.

80% of current black grads went to pwis

It's almost 90% of new grads. That's and hbcu myth they tell their grads

Breh stop the lies, Obama just spoke on how many HBCUS grads are in the workforce on that Undefeated show. We make up around 50%. I can't believe y'all black talking like this. Y'all gotta be some cacs to be this hateful towards HBCUS and black people

USM has become more black and even has a black President. These cacs have withdrawn support. Again these schools don't want you there.

They poured beer and threw stuff at some black girl down there because she refused to stand for the flag. I'm not going to a school like that.
White people dream of closing our schools so we won't have anything to help us live down here.

FOH bytch for peddling cac evils :camby:

People like you don't even know what the mission of HBCUs are. Y'all fakkits make me sick speaking on things you don't even understand.

HBCUs reach out and give black kids a shot that other schools don't. Again this is apart of the mission of most HBCUs, this is why our graduation rates suffer.

I'll take those schools lifting a sizable number of Black people from poverty to the middle class any day of the week, than to have 1000s of Black people locked in a poverty situation with no real shot out. :aicmon:

I mean goodness, how do y'all not know this :mindblown:

First fukk u. My family supports hbcus uncle on the board of one and I personally raised millions for hbcu entrepreneurs but it got axed by hbcu presidents. Free money gone. There's politics and discourse you have no idea how corrupt it is bc u drink their look aid

Secondly hbcu black grads have never been close to 50% that's a lie they tell

For example, HBCUs awarded 35 percent of the bachelor's degrees Blacks earned in 1976–77, compared with 15 percent in 2012–13. Additionally, the percentage of Black doctor's degree recipients who received their degrees from HBCUs was lower in 2012–13 (12 percent) than in 1976–77 (14 percent) (source, source, source, and source).

Fast Facts

Y'all get 15% of college degrees that's y most black college grads look at y'all like :stopitslime:

You say u represent most college blacks but it's never really been that way
