D1 schools don't have these on going problems because they get money from their sports programs and have a larger student population going to their schools.
Most of our brightest and our most talented black youth just are not going to HBCUs. :yeshrug:

Everyone but one student from HS that went to an HBCU was dumb as a rock.

You're ignoring what's being said entirely.
The best university in Cleveland, and one of the best universities in the country is a school that was consolidated (CIT and Western Reserve University) into one, Case Western Reserve University.
No one is "cutting AAs in the job force" by helping sustain schools with limited enrollment, there's a reason why many HBCUs have closed in the last 30 years, or have begun admitting far more White students.
Do you actually care about the schools are you just gonna try to fly a "history" flag around.
:ehh: there is a precedent for this with Clark Atlanta.... but then again, those schools were in close proximity to each other. That wouldn't work with say Miles College in Birmingham and Stillman in Tuscaloosa 50 miles away

I call bullshyt.

Those nikkas have enough to try to stunt on fellow classmates after graduation.

A lot of those nikkas will cop wardrobes just for homecoming this weekend.

Yet, they can't put $20-50 on the endowment per year?

That 20 to 50 is probably what's got them the endowment they have now..... You can't judge a black person's wealth by what they spend... its miniscule in the grand scheme of things when you're comparing them to white graduates of PWIs who probably went to school debt free one way or another, and, more than likely had their first home paid for, or substantially subsidized by a parent or grandparent..... we've just now truly entered the economy full time 40 years ago....... shyt is going to take some time...

Breh, all I'm saying is that all the nikkas who poke their chests out on some "Morehouse Man" shyt should be able to point to an endowment greater than $130 million.

Dr. Frederick plans to visit states already sending students to Howard — Maryland, New York and California — as well as go where there is potential, like Florida and Pittsburgh. He also hopes to marry Howard’s traditional mission with one that looks at the country’s changing demographics.

“We’ve fulfilled our mission around a lot of black students, but our charter was never really created solely for black students,” he said. “In the future, as we become a more global society, we will always be in a position to embrace the world around us.”

Hard Times at Howard U.

Even at Howard, the future is one of luring Hispanics, Asians and other non-Blacks in to boost revenue.

Yo I want to slap every c00n in here talking about closing HBCUs do yall idiots know how dumb you sounding? :what:

You do some silly shyt like that, you cutting the African Americans in the job force in half. Especially down south. These white schools ain't admitting that many black kids. :mindblown:

I can't believe how fast 'black' people in here are ready to down their own Heritage in America and then in the same breath say, we ain't trying to build. is Yall nikkas retarded? :dahell: I wish I could slap and neg everyone of you nikkas :pacspit:

This the type of work HBCUs doing out there! yall nikkas sound insane in this thread

80% of current black grads went to pwis

It's almost 90% of new grads. That's and hbcu myth they tell their grads

Easy. When companies are going to PWIs, they are going to target top-notch CAC and Asian students. A lot of talented Black students, who would otherwise dominate at HBCUs, get looked over at PWIs during recruiting.

After companies have done their primary recruiting and need to hit diversity metrics, they hit up the HBCUs to grab a few candidates, which are typically paid less than what they'd have to pay the same candidate from a PWI.

How do I know this? I've done university recruiting for my company. I know the game.

We have two HBCUs on our priority list of 50 schools. They are 49 and 50 on that list.

If there weren't a need to hit diversity metrics, I doubt they'd even be on the list.

The "obvious" solution would be to have the top Black students at PWIs opt for HBCUs instead.

But, where would that leave the regular brehs and brehettes who were admitted to HBCUs.

Morehouse's acceptance rate is around 70%. A lot of less-than-stellar students are being admitted. If Morehouse were to drop its acceptance rate to 50%, it'd probably have a hard time getting 1000 bodies in a freshman class.

Yeah morehouse has gone down a lot. But I volunteered there and I'm not homophobic but 1/3 them Nikkas gay. Like flamboyant, maybe in the past dudes used to hide it, but no joke a lot of gay dudes a lot. I know I wouldn't of gone there at 18

When I stopped by the campus, recently, I saw a lot of homosexual males.

After that one nikka got his skull fractured for peeking in the shower of another breh, the administration worked to make it a more welcoming environment for gays on campus.

The AUC died when MoB died. And Morehouse is definitely a far cry from what it was. the only school holding down the AUC is Spelman but that school is full of Fluff Liberal Arts majors. Clark ATL has a strong Business School but the ROI isn't great with GA State and Kennesaw State being down the road and much cheaper.

Correction: The acceptance rate is actually 85% at Morehouse. I applaud the school for opening its doors to brehs. But, given the cost of attendance, some of those brehs who are ill-prepared for college would be better off going to a community college or trade school as opposed to racking up student loan debt.

I will say Morehouse indoctrinates lot of underperforming cats to think of themselves as being the Cream of the Crop but that aint worth no 100k of loans especially when there are better state schools for half the price.
