The writers were really on one this episode.

Well, LAPD really did have a top 10 gang list that was criticized. And there is a gang in Compton called Spook Town Compton Crips.

The scene where Kavanaugh blows the Strike Teams "sting operation" and Vic sanctimoniously goes "The IAD always try to frame good cops!"

Kavanugh died inside, at that exact moment

And they wonder why a lot of men don't want to share their problems with their woman. He wasn't even gonna tell that bytch anything at first and she only showed why that was the case with her reaction.

Even worse in later episodes she told him to "just get over it" or something like that....that HE apologised to her like WTF

If the genders were reversed that shyt wouldn't fly.

After ALL the shyt Vic did, he STILL ends up in the one spot he NEVER wanted to be in-tied to a desk job for the remainder of his career.

That's purgatory for him.

I would watch The Shield sporadically on syndication (didn’t have cable or FX). Been meaning to one day cop the box set for cheap and start binging. I’m sure there’s plenty of fukkery I actually didn’t see.

I wish FX would do a spin off in today’s era. Like I get this show was about Vic and his strike team. But damn near ever character was written so well that they all could’ve had a spin off.
