But that's not as easy to accept though, because that's something that's explained in 2 bubbles of dialogue that goes against what we've seen for 12 chapters and against the same declarations of Gojo (Gege) from chapter 1 and throughout the whole story. Gojo was always confident he'll beat Sukuna and Kenjaku, before he got sealed and after when he was released.
You can't expect people to just be "oh, things weren't like that then
" when they are emotionally invested in something. The whole point of this medium is getting the reader to feel something so Gege going
at the last minute will get obvious backlash
People saying this is garbage are mostly being emotional. But at the same time we can't act like this is some elite tier writing either. My whole thing with JJK is that Gege has never been a great writer and people continue to put ridiculous expectations on this manga because dude is is actually great at is presenting compelling scenarios that go outside of the same old troupes 95% of shonen manga have. But the way he explains shyt and resolves stuff has always been hit or miss. Gojo vs Sukuna didn't escape from that.
