After listening to this podcast, its like Dean did EVERYTHING right which is even damaging to the WWE:

  • He honored his contract
  • He didn't bytch online like 80 percent of the roster
  • He was cool with taking Ls
  • He focus more on the script instead of "ICE CREAM BARS"
  • He gave in his notice
  • Didn't honored the new contract
  • Came back to the indy scene with open arms
  • Didn't completely "buried" the WWE just critiqued it
With that being said, this severely pisses the WWE off because it didn't give them the satisfaction of going hard on Dean. You can't really damage a man that desires little things in life. Props to Dean for actually being a adult in this situation and never let the enemy take away his passion. The whole concept of the vent is just that, it's all venting about the big elephant on the wall and that's the WWE being completely obtuse to reality. Majority of Raw is Vince bytching and moaning through characters and reliving his glory days, rather than putting on a tolerable product. The fact that they bringing in The Undertaker next week, instead of making Kofi and Seth look legit instead of goofs is fukking pathetic. You have the best roster in the world and majority of them doing the best catering in the world :francis:. It's like Vince really treating humans like "The Toy"

Yeah most definitely. But when wrestling was at its best, you gave guys bullet points and let them sink or swim. You can still have someone with their eye on the ball for long term shyt. But when you overproduce wrestlers and have them staying things they wouldn't say to an audience that doesn't care, who are serving here? Give me bullet points of what you want me to get across (which goes back to the main story) and let me go. They have a performance center where they teach you to talk, meaning most shouldn't come up to the main roster having no clue how to talk or needing someone to script shyt for them
THANK YOU!!! That's the real problem here, scripted promos lead to awkward segments because you can tell they're repeating a script verbatim. The reason why promos were great during the AE is because every wrestler sounded like themselves. They just need to tell the wrestlers what they want to get over and let them do it their way. The reason Daniel Bryan was able to be a GOAT level champ is because you could tell that he was doing things his way.

I think the main problem is Vince and his approach/perspective of the program. He books the show as a damn near TV-G product, this is 2019 all the guys in the back are adults. I haven't watched in how long, I couldn't imagine not missing a show and having to catch up. Not like that now, too much repetitive shyt that leads nowhere. Punk and Jon confirm everybody knows cause it translates on tv.
It's actually kinda weird how its presented these days ratings wise. I wouldn't call it G rated like say the 08-10 era, but more like a very sterilized and sponsor friendly version of attitude era presentation . There's more swearing and stuff these days than the early PG era at least. But it's like Vince trying to have his cake and eat it too

I've listened to most of it. Ambrose can sure as hell tell a story; just listening made me feel all the frustrations and overall fatigue he went through at that company. From the day-to-day shytty scripts, micromanagement, and a boss that's practically a real-life persona of Mr. Burns. Much respect for spitting this truth alone. :impressedwow:

Dude's a soldier too. The kind of fukkery in this job would've made me quit in under a month tops. :bookerlaugh:

I don't know how anyone could think Ambrose did anything wrong here.

He didn't quit, he didn't provoke them into releasing him. He simply said he wouldn't be renewing his contract, and obviously behaved professionally enough for them to just let him go without tacking more time on his contract.

These days the issue is a totally soulless and homogenous product that looks entirely the same throughout while seemingly nobody is trying at all. Everyone seems to be going through the motions and doing the bare minimum while results of matches essentially mean nothing.

The issue too is that why Vince says he is sports entertainment he doesn’t even focus on the sports aspect really at all . He does on the entertainment to a degree but on what ENTERTAINS him not the fans . At least when it was pg it was like ok they are clearly going for the kids with the super cena thing and beating a new villain every month . Now it’s like sign the best of the indies when most of them are known for wrestling but we don’t do wrestling so don’t talk about wrestling pal . Nxt ( while shorter ) can balance multiple champs and things while almost seamlessly plugging people in as they leave .

The AE ( which I rewatch on the network) actually has a lot of cringe and sucky promos but to me it’s that Vince makes everything that’s not brock /Ronda not feel special. And that even goes with reigns . Back in the day all the stars and main events felt special now it’s like meh except if ohhhh brock is here . I enjoy silly beast in the bank however that’s a real waste of a popular Gimmick! Why not use brock like an attraction with sAy a big brawl coming up with lashley while building up Seth as the beast slayer and kofi as a fighting champ .

Which is why he’s taxing everyone now. Sasha wants out? Extend her another 30 days. Luke and the good brothers want out? Extend them another 60 days
It's so fukking ludicrous how these companies can terminate people's contracts whenever they feel like it but when somebody valuable wants a release they just hold them hostage.

anyone who followed Dean's heel turn knew exactly what lead to his breaking point
he turned heel on seth the night Roman announced he has cancer

he should've been the biggest peace of shyt heel since prime Vince vs Stone Cold
instead they had him turn into a complete joke wearing gas masks, getting cheap heat shytting on fans and doctor visits

as Dean mentioned and as was mentioned on a recent roundtable on the corner podcast featuring Kaz a former writer...everything is written for and finalized by an audience of one

Vince is the that loves goofy shyt, love white blondes, thinks every black wrestler should be a thug, hip-hop act, physical speciman or some other sterotype (and nothing more), believes that his family on tv is whats best for business, disinterested in tag team wrestling...the list goes on and on
