It comes down to who the writers are and writers believing they know your character better than you do. That's the issue.

That's true but its the way the WWE process seems to be set up that makes it fukked up..if you had a writer come to you and say "yo, I wrote this, what do you think?" and then you work on it together, I think that's fine and probably how it should be.

Where it gets messy is when you have a whole bunch of people, and any change has to be run through Vince, and it goes back and forth and back and forth.

So again, I don't think the issue is scripts. Writers working with actors is the case on scripts happens in any form of filmed entertainment.

I think the main problem is Vince and his approach/perspective of the program. He books the show as a damn near TV-G product, this is 2019 all the guys in the back are adults. I haven't watched in how long, I couldn't imagine not missing a show and having to catch up. Not like that now, too much repetitive shyt that leads nowhere. Punk and Jon confirm everybody knows cause it translates on tv.

fukkin Matt Jackson is one of the exec vice presidents and creators of the entire thing, so yeah probably. But they also know Jericho well enough and trust him to come up withbhis own shyt and it'll be good. Im sure most of that promo he cut after the main event was his own work and it was fukkin great.

So if Jericho has an idea for his character, does he have to go to one of the Young Bucks? Both of them? Or just Cody? or just Kenny? or all four of them? Or all four plus Khan? What if Bucks like it, but Cody hates it?

Ya'll gone see how messy this shyt gets once they gotta start doing it every single week for 2 hours.

Yeah most definitely. But when wrestling was at its best, you gave guys bullet points and let them sink or swim. You can still have someone with their eye on the ball for long term shyt. But when you overproduce wrestlers and have them staying things they wouldn't say to an audience that doesn't care, who are serving here? Give me bullet points of what you want me to get across (which goes back to the main story) and let me go. They have a performance center where they teach you to talk, meaning most shouldn't come up to the main roster having no clue how to talk or needing someone to script shyt for them

Sounds like the inmates running the asylum to me :jbhmm:
The company is started and ran by wrestlers that know and breath wrestling their whole lives.

WCW fell apart because the inmates running the asylum were roided out narcissists, failed tv show producers, magazine writers, etc. with their own interests

AEW already said they are writing all their storylines for far down the road so they wont be booking shyt that makes no sense on the fly.

Nothing is guaranteed to work but all the info we've gotten suggest these boys are trying to do shyt in a smart way that sets them up for success.

:gucci: They were also some of the biggest stars in wrestling history.

If you wanna frame it that way... AEW is run by indy wrestlers, the son of a legend (who he himself failed when he was in charge of running a company) and a silver spoon rich kid playing with his dad's money.

Why does that inspire any faith in you.

Yeah I mentioned them first. Roided narcissists.

If your question is who do I think knows more about putting on a good wrestling show - Ted Turner, Woatsso, Kevin Nash, Sullivan, Hogan :dead:

Im not even gonna continue. I choose the new guys.

At certain points, you could miss the WWE for like 2-3 months and catch a show and it’s like you’ve only missed 1 week

I'm not excited to see Dean Ambrose in the ring again, as WWE wasn't the reason his in ring work was so sloppy and shytty, but it is refreshing to hear someone come out of WWE and actually be excited and sound like they have passion for the industry again instead of bitter and permanently burnt out.
