Hopefully he works on that BJJ like he said so he can pass guard more easily.
He seems to have taken the "wrestler turned striker" route. Obviously it's working, but I'd like to see him go back to using his wrestling roots too (as well as finishing his opponents:pachaha:).

Gus lost a close and competitive fight to Jones, there is some hope he can win the rematch. Personally, I don't see him winning, but he'll put up a good fight.
i expect a good fight, i expect a better bones

if jones can take him down this time that should open things up for him

he's finished more guys than anyone in light heavyweight history, his last three opponents have never been finished, i mean glover was in his first fight but that was over ten years ago, can't expect to get finishes against veterans who know how to survive 5 rounds all the time

:mjlol:

No he just needs to win. People that contend for the title are supposed to give the champ a challenge. That's why they're title contenders.

Now the champ gotta be superman to be the goat. Stop it. He's finished enough people and made a gang of others look stupid.
if he's going to be considered greater than Anderson then isn't only right that he is judged by those standards? Stop coppin pleas

Hes probably already got more decisions then andersons entire career.

What him and anderson dont have in common is losing.

if he goes up to HW and whoops on Cain. He is hands down the greatest fighter to ever live. I mean going up to HW and whooping on their champ then going back down and reigning on your division until retirement is some mind blowing shyt. Imagine if he just went down to middle and whooped on Weidman just for fun. nikka just going around dethroning champs cause he can. :mjcry:

:ohhh:

He has the most wins (15), has landed 824 significant strikes, the most in UFC history in his weight class. He also has the highest total takedown attempts defended in light heavyweight history. Pretty soon, he will have surpassed Silva's streak and title defences:lupe:

That, plus high competition, I guess.

let's see Jones defend as many times and hold the belt for damn near 7 years before we start any convo cuz what you posted could easily be spun around as "well Anderson has been fighting since the 90s?" Of course he's going to have more loses than a dude that's only been doing it since 08

Anderson lost twice in his first 6 years.

after seeing this fight with cormier, he will beat cain, it would be a little more difficult, but he will still win in convincing fashion

Overeem and JDS, are more of a threat, because I don't think jones can hurt them in a single shot, and they can land one shot that can drop jones, which none of his other opponents could do

Funny thing is, before UFC 182, I had just mentioned how Jones doesn't seem to fight off his backfoot. In his fight with Cormier, he was shown to be able to attack while moving backwards, which is something that shocked Cormier.

:russ: cormier did that and you saw what happened. You actually would rather beat jones on the outside his grappling game super underrated. But I know you don't know no better
And even Cormier stated that his reach wasn't a factor. And if I recall correctly, he tried to fight Jones on the outside and that failed too.
