i dont think jones took gus seriously

this time around jones wont be fuking around

This and he was coming back from that toe injury(which i though would have sidelined him for the rest of the year) Still won using basically only step in elbows and high kicks :wow: His boxing has improved since then and if he is serious about training full time it will only get better. If he establishes a good jab :wow: Plus, I expect him to implement his wrestling better in the rematch

Stop downplaying Gus's performance and making excuses for Jones.
gus had his best performance and still lost

that doesnt bode well for him in a rematch

i would expect a rematch to show jones more active with his spinning elbows

Gus lost a close and competitive fight to Jones, there is some hope he can win the rematch. Personally, I don't see him winning, but he'll put up a good fight.

And Jon didn't?

Both fighters showed heart dumbass.

Let me guess, Jon obliterated Gus as well? :mjlol:
In the final rounds gus looked out on his feet and Jon looked more composed and worthy as champ. Gus looked like he was ready to blow over. One more round gus might have damn near collapsed in that ring. He was done

Outside of Gus, I don't recall him having any trouble keeping anybody on the ground
Most of the fighters Jones have put on their back on have gotten up somewhat easily (except for a few, maybe). For example, Rashad was able to keep Sonnen down, whereas he got up from Jones multiple times. His top control isn't good as, say, GSP. Jones is a great wrestler, but he isn't known for his top control and hasn't kept anyone on their back for an entire round.

Hopefully he works on that BJJ like he said so he can pass guard more easily.
