:beli: Are you saying that Jones was hurt when he dodged Rampage? Gustaffson was running for dear life.

Jones wasn't hurt, but it's clear he was avoiding Rampage's power shots. To say he was clowning around is untrue and downright laughable.

It's just funny when Gus does something very similar, he's running for dear life, but when Jones does it, he's clowning around. That double standard :wow: don't give me that bullshyt :stopitslime:

Yep.. i'm just going to stand there while Rampage (a guy known for his KO power) charges at me with wild haymakers..

Make sense.. Not!

I have no problem with what Jones did. I just have an issue with Naisim saying Gus is 'running for dear life', but when Jones does something similar 'he's only clowning around'.

If I recall, in that fight Jones was the one being serious and Rampage was being Rampage. Lol at the face off, Rampage does a thumbs up and a smile. But in the actual fight, I think Jones was the one in control. Even flipped Rampage over him. But yeah, that fight was probably the first time I saw him dash the hell outta the way of a punch. And it wasn't a slick "made you miss" type of dodge at all too.

when they say Gus ran against jones, he avoided the fight the entire round not that he literally ran he didnt fight, he didn't try to win

I just re-watched the fight. There was 1 clear moment where Gus 'ran' and that was from a TD attempt from Jones. So that 'running for dear life' talk is bullshyt. There were a few times where Gus circled (don't call it 'running') to center of the octagon, but he did not run for dear life. Both fighters showed heart and fought very well. In the end, Jones had the upper edge, but it was a competitive, back and forth fight. And Gus did not avoid the fight, the Ring's WOAT strikes again. In the 5th, Gus was def. tired and Jones was pouring it on, but he didn't 'avoid the fight the entire round'. That's some bullshyt.

:yeshrug:He aint Silva tho....that run Anderson had was the greatest I ever seen. He could have realistically been Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champ at the same damn time. People can say his competition wasn't at the level Jones is, but he was making world class fighters look like helpless children. He was knocking people out with straight jabs while stepping back, poking his chin out and holding his hands on his side daring people to hit him. I cant consider someone the greatest unless they are dominating their competition. Although he outpointed Cormier, he didn't look dominant at any point in the fight except when DC was gassed. Although he won the fight with Gus, I think he got exposed that night and lost his aura of invincibility.

You must've forgot what Sonnen did to Silva.
