This is why last years MVP was such a huge mistake and a travesty. 2 out of 3 MVPs is one thing but 3 straight skews history. That’s reserved for THE clear dominant player of his generation and he CLEARLY isnt.
And yea it’s a regular season award but players who win MVPs at that rate/volume almost always win a chip and really it’s usually multiple. Bird, Magic, Jordan, bron, Steph.
When we look back at this timeframe and Steph got a ring, Giannis got a ring, KD got a ring(s), but Jokic won all the MVPs?? it’s not gonna make sense
Why do y’all keep speaking in these generalities as if what happened in the past entirely dictates how things should play out in the future? This is why last years MVP was such a huge mistake and a travesty. 2 out of 3 MVPs is one thing but 3 straight skews history. No it isn’t. Bill Russell and Wilt 3peated as MVP and people have been debating who was better for decades. The same thing when Larry Bird won 3 in a row and it’s debatable if he was better than Magic. This is why last years MVP was such a huge mistake and a travesty. 2 out of 3 MVPs is one thing but 3 straight skews history. Bird and Magic are TWO people. Not a pool of guys as in the case with JokicNo it isn’t. Bill Russell and Wilt 3peated as MVP and people have been debating who was better for decades. The same thing when Larry Bird won 3 in a row and it’s debatable if he was better than Magic.
You just made up some bullshyt precedent
I’m already confused. What does basketball even mean anymore? Is there even a real champion going forward? Do halfcourt shots count for 7? If a finger-roll falls in a forest but nobody sees it, does it count as a bucket? When we look back at this timeframe and Steph got a ring, Giannis got a ring, KD got a ring(s), but Jokic won all the MVPs?? it’s not gonna make sense
Bird and Magic both played on two of the most resourcefully rich and powerful franchises in NBA history. Jokic plays on the Nuggets, a franchise that is a footnote in the NBA, in a place where basketball is essentially the ugly step sister to the other major sports (football, baseball and ice hockey). Would Bird and Magic be on teams that were perennial contenders if they had to play in Denver?Bird and Magic are TWO people. Not a pool of guys as in the case with Jokic
Bird and Magic played on teams that were perennial contenders...unlike Jokic

Now, just imagine if the Celtics or the Lakers had drafted Jokic instead.
Y'all should be happy that the most success Jokic is likely to get for the foreseeable is only MVPs, and not on a franchise where he could actually play alongside All-Star talent, because otherwise, the NBA would be that much more miserable for y'all.
Everybody fukks with Joker, bro.
We're just looking for this Voter Fatigue we've heard so much about...
Jokic shouldn't win simply because Giannis didn't get his 3rd in a row nor did Harden with his 2nd or Bron or MJ because of voter fatigue. fukk Jokic, anyone but him.Why do y’all keep speaking in these generalities as if what happened in the past entirely dictates how things should play out in the future?
Steph hasn’t deserved to win MVP during this recent timeframe. Giannis won two MVPs and then shytted the bed in the first round unlike we’ve ever seen, and that left a bad taste in the voters mouths in the season following that. KD hasn’t deserved to win MVP during this recent timeframe.
Y’all have been advocating for Embiid winning the last two MVPs, but he hasn’t won a title nor has he made the Finals, so how is that any different to Jokic winning them? Or are you going to tell me if Embiid had won the last two MVPs y’all would be saying it was a travesty?
