Yall say worse about other black ppl on the coli than Ali ever said about Joe Frazier. :comeon:

This

Yes Ali made a mistake for calling Joe gorilla but guess what, nobody's perfect.

Ali is one of the greatest human beings to ever live, and he was a gift to the world, especially Black people.

I know the Coli likes to throw stones but Ali is off limits in my book.

Ali wouldn't have become who he was if he didn't do it

He regretted it cause he was just playing around but them emotional boxers of his time took it real personal and held it against him for decades

Not realizing that the hype Ali created benefitted them as well

Gotta call a spade a spade.

Ali, though I love him, was 100% dead WRONG for how he went about promoting that fight and calling Frazier a “Gorilla”. Especially given what Frazier had done for Ali BEHIND THE SCENES whilst Ali was fighting the Government for his freedom and livelihood.

Ali was a hero and champion and one of the most inspiring black figures who ever lived..

But he was WRONG and out of pocket for how he treated Frazier. He should have NEVER in his LIFE called that man an Uncle Tom. That was worse than being called a c00n back then and it had REAL weight behind it. Not like today where we can all call Tiger Woods, Taye Diggs, or that Kentucky AG c00ns and its just angry words. A man of Ali’s stature within the black community calling Frazier a c00n was like a scarlet letter.

Ali apologized but I don't know if Joe ever truly accepted. I read that his kids said he still hated Ali at the time of his death. Props to Muhammad though for still coming through to pay his respects.
of course...frazier until he died..took pleasure in the thought that their fights gave Ali Parkinsons

joe would do the reconciliations when there was some money involved but after he reverted back to the hatred..hell even joe's family tried to get him to stop being that way but hatred is deep...you cant do what ali did to him and think shyt would be gravy...joe frazier legitimately came from nothing to be what he was

Weren't they also sparring partners? As you know there is a level of brotherhood in engaging someone in combat. It's sacred in some cases, I think that he thought maybe Ali was his brother at first then realized maybe he wasn't?
