Yall gotta be some cacs. :mjlol::childplease:

75% of Ali's appeal was the fact that he hyped fights better than a prime McMahon.:noah:

He did and said whatever he had to, and he put butts in seats. :ahh:

Ali was before his time when it came to building buzz and promotion. And yes he made it personal.

He had to call that big ole bear out several times to get him in the ring

And the best thing was... anything bruh said, he backed it up. :banderas:
Nah Ali was on some fukk shyt. Especially after Joe put money in his pocket and helped him get back into the ring after he was exiled from boxing. Joe had every right to hate that nikka

Man yall just sensitive so you identify more with other sensitive folks.

Like I said, Ali paid back whatever money Joe gave him and more by making each and every one of his fights a commercial success.

Joe was getting paid way more than he would have cause of Ali's hype work. Which was Ali's goal... filling seats and getting money.

Joe was tight behind that because he had previously held Ali down with paper when he was out of boxing. If anybody deserved to be called an Uncle Tom during that time, it was Ali for downgrading another black man for the pleasure of white people. I think they had made some appearances together later on in life, but I'm pretty sure Joe took that beef to the grave.

No, Ali crossed a line. Frazier was known for covering the gym fees of local kids recognising that it was better for them to be on the backs than in the streets.

Frazier supported Ali not serving in the war, provided him with financial support, and petitioned to have Ali's license reinstated.

Man to man, what Ali did was foul. You can argue that his action, not Ali himself but the actual behaviour, is why people sre reluctant to commit themselves to the community. It kind of shows that people are drawn to characters, not the work done.

Yall say worse about other black ppl on the coli than Ali ever said about Joe Frazier. :comeon:

We don't know them niiggas.... We ain't never had one of them put money in our pocket or hold us down when we was on hard times. The problem is Joe looked out for Muhammad, and then Muhammad flipped the script on him and started calling him out his name for the white people. Joe seemed to be a practical niigga, I actually think that if Ali had approached him before hand and was like "yo, if I make it seem like there's some beef between us, and I start calling you names and whatever, that will drive up ticket sales, and we both can eat", he might have been like :manny: and went along with it. I remember reading in the autobiography that he was confused at why Ali was coming at him like that, especially since, like many have already said, he had held him down when nobody would touch him.

It was a different time and Joe really looked out for him because after the draft shyt happened Ali was hemorrhaging money he had a huge group of people with him and he was blocked from leaving the country. Ali wasn’t even able to get international fights with his passport being revoked. Joe gave him money and helped him feed his kids. Joe still hated Ali for decades later and some of his kids claim he died hating him. Like Ali has been whitewashed so much like intelligence wise he was Charles Barkley before Barkley.

this...love ali...but this was one of very few things he did that was unacceptable...joe carried that shyt to the grave..the thrilla in manila documentary displays all that perfectly

hell in the thrilla in manila itself, joe was on the verge of possibly dying or being seriously injured by the end of the fight and he still wanted to keep going..was willing to risk his life to put hands on ali...thats deep hatred

Where Ali fukked up here was not telling Joe he's trying to sell the fight of the century...

Joe naturally took everything serious cuz Joe was simple country folk...If Ali would let the brotha in on the act early on, all that beef could of been avoided...

Things just spiraled out of control from there with Ali labeling him a c00n and Joe could never forgive him for that...
