When were Nas and Jay-Z ever extorted or punked by a street dude? Nas and Camel both had close connections to heavy street guys but they stayed in their lanes. They were smart enough to recognize that nothing good can come out fukking with the wolves and kept those guys at arms' length. They had nothing to gain and everything to lose. Instead they used their talent, got rich and are still living the good life 15+ years later.

If by "ain't built like that" you mean "fukking around in a viper's nest and getting killed in the prime of your life instead of enjoying the fruits of your labor and being happy" , then yes, they're not built like that.:smugfavre:

Were they really smart enough or lived to get old enough to get sick of the bullshyt:ohhh:...I'm pretty sure I've heard stories about both these nikkas hangin out and bein around people u could say a succesful rapper shouldn't in they younger years.

Nas and Jay-Z grew up with alot of these "wolves". Nas & Jay-z grew up in the projects. They know the streets. 2Pac didn't. Dude didn't have an identity. He had to create one.

U think the level of wolves that attached they selves to nas and Jay after they started rappin wuz nikkas they grew up with:usure:? Jay wuz pretty heavy out there but I'm pretty sure he wuz a grown man when he started hustlin....but Nas:childplease: I doubt it,knowing of these nikkas seein them around your hood is ifferent then them coming to Nas after he becomes famous and they start offering their "services" if anybody gives him problems, inviting him to partys becuz he's "Nas" now....that shyt happens with all these rap nikkas man....y'all paintin it like these rappers go seekin out these "wolves" when usually its the other way around....how many of them gon say no? Either out of fear, too keep it REAL or just bcuz they like the nikkas swag and how they spend money and the respect they get they gon hang out with them nikkas...u realize how many of these nikkas have "escorts" in other cities so when they touch down they got protection?blood nikkas crip nikkas other street gangs or just nikkas that roll deep in that area.... These nikkas all playin that same risky game that sumtimes backfires....Pac didn't commit sum rap cardinal sin hangin out with them....u can only say he wuz crazy for not staying in line when talking to another man with the history of Jimmy...most would know better, now either pac couldn't help himself or didn't give a shyt that day....but if he let jimmy disrespect him you'd be here laughing calling him a punk like a lot of y'all doin now for not being disrespected and for fighting back not wanting to get shot...its really a no win situation it sounds like with y'all...and really it wuz he had to get disrespected and extorted or get robbed and beat up that night.

So........ basically we just learned what we already knew. That BIG had nothing to do with the 94 shooting.

Pac and Suge used a real life street beef to sell records when they should have handled Jimmy in the streets.

Wolves are wolves. When you frow up in the streets, you are exposed to all sorts of people, you see nigguhz go from small timers to kingpin status, you see little nigguhz go from nobodies to fuccking with big timers. You learn and hear stories about who is who and what is what. 2Pac was not aware of this. You guys hang on 2Pac's every word, but dude bsically was a groupie of Henchmen etc. How you a 22 year old groupie, when you supposed to be a street nikka? What was Henchmen and them doing that was that "mindblowing"? And if it was really like tha, what made him think he could fukk wit em?

Tdot.. till the death of me
I never understood why people say pac wasnt a thug or street?

how so? he wasnt affraid of anybody. and he did what he wanted to do. not to mention shooting a cop

alot of you have a twisted idea of what being "gangster" is, you can be intelligent and street at the same time. and running up and shooting someone he thought shot him, as an entertainer/rapper is not smart. especially someone affiliated with this rap industry.

being a gangster is not necessarily walking around shooting/killing people who disrespect you.

being a gangster is a mind set. if you generally dont give a fukk about authority, law, rules etc and you do what you wanna do. you jump people, who you wanna jump, you run wit bloods etc...you a gangster. you just may not be as wild as the next man, who shoots anybody who looks at him sideways.

stop listening to rappers with their fictional tales of shooting up a nicca's block and carrying imaginary ak's and banana clips and claimin gangsta. that shyt aint real

2pac lived like a gangster and died like one.

What does fear have to do with anything? That cop shooting is so overblown. You guys act as if he popped a uniformed officer. He shot someone who happened to be a cop.

You contradicting yourself. First you said 2Pac had no fear and did whatever the fukk he wanted including shooting police, but when he got popped he had to play it "safe" and "smart"

They did more than "disrespect" him. According to him, they made an attempt on his life. That's ways more than enough reason to lay the murder game down. Especially when you are willing to shoot cops over matters that don't concern you.

If he thought he could "fuk wit em" doesn't make him sound like much of a groupie doesn't? Groupie woulda looked at them like superman and stayed in the house that night and not gon to the studio where dudes who wuz friends with dudes he had beef wit wuz at....Pac took his gun and said "where my 7K at?"...that ain't groupie status to me,and they wuz buying dude watches and clothes and shyt....maybe they wuz groupies after they heard that Thug Life album:mjpls:..or maybe its like I said these street nikkas try to get next to all these rappers.

As a side-note, I'm pretty sure Haitian Jack tried to approach Nas once and I don't think it was to pay his respects.
In one of those tracks Lakey the Kid did dissing Nas he says "Why you brought me when you had to meet Haitian Jack/ but ain't called me to get on your album and do a track".

Now I'm not saying Jack necessarily tried to put 'the arm' on Nas but you can see that Nas had his head on his shoulders. Unlike Pac who left his guard down and started hanging around with those guys like they were life-long friends despite Biggie and Tyson warning him, Nas had enough common sense to bring some muscle with him to hold him down in case something happened. He knew how sneaky and underhanded these guys are.
There's more to this street shyt than busting guns. Most guys get killed because they don't understand the politics, not because they're soft or 'not built for this'.

My man 2Pac was a groupie. He said it himself in the same Vibe issue where he was crying like a bytch.
