This is why I was okay holding onto Jimmy into the season. They didnt have any leverage then and holding on to him just gave them a chance to get some leverage through desperation.

I'm not the biggest fan of just draft picks but those picks could be used to trade people like Gorgui and possibly Wiggins kind of allowing a sped up rebuild around KAT. Have 2 picks in 2021,2023 and hope the rockets have regressed and steal a good pick.

Getting the Heat involved now would be ideal. They have pieces that are at least intriguing beyond this year and maybe help the team be semi-competitive over the next few years. The Wolves are in a shytty spot but the Rockets desperation might save them from themselves

If Thibs is fired soon or removed from his president of basketball operations title then I can see this happening.

IF HOUSTON PLANS ON RESIGNING JIMMY
THOSE PICKS WONT BE WORTH shyt UNTIL 2023 AT THE EARLIEST...

MINNY WILL MISS THE PLAYOFFS ALL 5 YEARS
AND THIBS WILL BE FIRED BY THEN.

:mjlol: HE DEFINITELY SHOULDNT TAKE THIS DEAL.

:mjlol:nikkaS IN HERE TALKING ABOUT A PICK 7 YEARS FROM NOW.

KG, PP AND DWILL WERE ALREADY WASHED
WHEN THE NETS MADE THAT TRADE.

HOUSTON WILL ACTUALLY CONTEND FOR A TITLE
FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS
IF THIS DEAL IS DONE.

WHILE MINNY WILL GO BACK TO A BOTTOM FEEDER.
KAT AND WIGGINS CAN PAD THEIR STATS
AND PLAY FORTNITE IN PEACE
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THEIR CONTRACTS....

NAH I DONT THINK THE OWNER
WANTS TO PAY 2 MAX GUYS
JUST TO MISS THE PLAYOFFS EVERY YEAR
AND HOPE THEY GET A GREAT PICK
5-7 YEARS FROM NOW.

I am reading Minny board. They don't like it. They make good points. Harden has an ageless game. Butler should still be effective by 2023. 2025 is the only decent pick. They want something from a team like Washington or Miami. Not the Rockets

They don’t know what they want. I hope butler leaves them for nothing. Beggars can’t be choosers

It's not a great deal but we can't act like Butler and CP3 don't each miss decent chunks of time each year. If Houston wants to ride Harden, CP3 and Butler with minimum contracts around them, that's not that scary when they get into the 3rd year of those deals. And could they even re-sign Butler without moving Capela? :jbhmm:

Thibs is the biggest problem in this deal because he doesn't give a damn about anything after this year because he knows he's following Jimmy out the door.
