And who's fault is that? That's their fault? Do "Mulattos" get hired over whites? Do they receive lighter jail sentences than whites? Are they perceived as smarter than whites? The answer to all above is NO.False. Mulattos are more likely to be hired over black people, more likely to receive lighter jail sentences and are perceived as being smarter. There are consequences to being black, mulatto and white. We see these consequences play out in real life. Not just on the Internet.

They have privileges over black people. That was my point. No they didn't create the system. We didn't either, but we have to navigate through it. In my opinion it is stupid to claim a group of people who have privileges over you as your own. Do you not see how the power dynamics of that situation put black people at a disadvantage? I have biracial cousins too. They are very light, and clearly biracial. And who's fault is that? That's their fault? Do "Mulattos" get hired over whites? They didn't create this system, and they don't choose who their parents are.
You sound bitter af.
At the end of the day, all AA's are mixed. And you'd have a hard time telling someone who's "mixed" from someone who's not, in a lot of situations. I have cousins that have two black parents who are lighter than Jesse Williams. Y'all trippin in here frfr.
I've made my point all throughout this thread. It was never about the things Jesse was saying. Nothing he said was wrong, but the messenger is just as important as the message when we are talking about black people/issues. I don't need some blue eyed mulatto telling me things, I already know, about the hardships of a society that allows him to use his white privilege to his advantage. And you couldn't answer directly. You can't even make an argument against what Jesse said
I'll never take coli militants seriously ever again.
Actor uses his platform to speak to other successful blacks about how the industry is using them and how we're so much better than that. How this country tries to disregard our significance yet does everything to copy and imitate us. Mind you very few established people would even think about doing such a thing which is sad compared to the days of Ali.
Oh but THAT speech? nah fukk that right? He's not fully black so all he said was bs. It's no point. No one needed to hear that on mainstream media. Matter fact nah fukk him too right? He's clearly a puppet or useless hotep wannabe with a white mom. So none of that means anything even tho few if any celebs still talk about it.
For real tho fukk coli militants. Trying so damn hard to be "real" u exclude those who wish to progress the cause because u think they're not "real". Yeah well fukk what u think. I like it and think it needs to be said constantly on TV till we can't think of anything other than to keep doing something about it and put pressure on other successful celebs to help as well.
He's not black according to science you fukking dikkhead, he's got a white mom which makes him half black but all that matters is that he identifys with the team and he does meaningful things for the race with his position of power that most actual real black people in his position ain't got the balls to do.not black according to the coli

How can you say that pointing out the fact that mulattos aren't black is divisive, and that it serves no one but white supremacists when they created the mulatto, and encouraged us to accept them as black so that they wouldn't fragment their race like they have? You all keep saying that white people see mulattos as black. So? Does that mean we have to too? Do we have no say in our own identity?

I help myself, and those close to me. I also receive help from those close to me. My family, I mean. I don't see how not having a national platform invalidates anything I've said. My point is that those who DO have a national platform, I would like to be black. That was my criticism.Let's try this for a third time, now what? What are YOU personally doing to thwart white supremacy? Where is your national platform to speak up for the injustices that blacks people face?
