As someone who grew up in Chicago before moving to the suburbs of Massachusetts, Williams described adjusting from being the “whitest” kid in his west Chicago neighborhood to being the only biracial student in the suburbs.

“I grew up in a real dual environment,” Williams said.

There are more AAs learning about their lineage, history, heritage, and African roots and are no longer ashamed of it but see it as something to be proud of.
More blacks questioning and acknowledging white privilege, white supremacy, systemic racism, and the spoils
More black people taking pride in being black
High enrollment rates for black men and women and graduation rates in college and high school each and every year.
More black businesses since 2007...

Even I'll admit, personally since Obama stepped in office, I've been a bit more prejudiced towards whites cause I no longer see them as above me or as something to aspire towards.
