How else do you judge wrestling? It's not legitimate so you have to go off numbers, i.e. putting butts in the seats, money earned, etc.

All these match ratings and other shyt is just matter of opinion and in the end doesn't mean much.

What's the slogan so many use, "Only things real in wrestling are the miles and the money."

very few wrestlers single-handedly put buts in the seats. its usually a communal effort.

this is wrestling not boxing. half the times you purchase a wrestling ticket or ppv, you might not even care about the main event.

1.) the only one confused is you, not knowing what a storyline is.
youre commenting on gorgeous George's character. you didn't say anything about a storyline.
Hogan hulking up & applying a leg drop is showmanship. you didn't say anything about a storyline.

2.) and you got me confused.
I love a good storyline to this day. but the in-ring is what kept me from growing out of the sport after the age of 9. and I luv showmanship as well, and that's just as much apart of in-ring as the workrate. I still rank the warrior as one of the all-time best, even tho he couldn't wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag.
hence the reason why I stopped paying attention to the WWE for YEARS. by 2007, their wrestling was generally bad and the showmanship was chitty. by 2011, I tuned out and didn't fully come back until like last year, thanks to the fact that they raided tons of talent away from other promotions.

and there were other boom periods & golden eras before the 1930s.
Characters exist in stories. Lol. Im sure plenty of old timers actually remember his storylines and fueds, the story. Lol

Lol no one cares about your personal feelings. If watching irrelevant shyt makes you happy great. It isnt what pro wrestling is about.

Lol yhe largest tv marketshare for wrestling was in the rarly tv days breh.

Aga k n, you are a confused mark

theyre gonna push who they want to push.

at the end of the day, its a variety show. you cant compare it to boxing where the main event is literally what 99% of the crowd came to see.

and wrestling shows are branded. they sell most of their tickets before a card is even released.

wrestling has went thru golden eras & boom periods back when they treated it as an actual sport & before they even had characters.

and chill with the name-calling. im not the one for that.
youre usually cool. lets act like adults.

They push who brings in the cash.
Like studios push in promotio. Who brings in the cash.

That was my point, joint effort. Where in my comment did I say it takes one guy?
