Their wrestling is stale and bland as fukk. Agents all have them working the same dry ass style with a lack of creative finishes. A lot of talent on that roster no doubt, but it rarely translates to great matches. Think of all the combinations of matches with guys like Bryan, AJ, Nakamura, Rollins, Joe, Balor etc, and barely any truly memorable matches, and some serious disappointments (that AJ/Nak series :scust:)

They're nowhere close to having the best in ring product. NXT already blow them out the water. New Japan ain't even a comparison, and even Impact probably got better shyt too.

Matches become stale and bland when you keep having the same ones over and over with no notable difference in outcome or result (see: The entirety of AJ Styles' most recent reign as WWE champion). That's a creative/booking thing. WWE has far too many dream match combos and great workers for any title scene not to be fresh and unique.

Instead, we're getting a PPV full of rematches from the last two PPVs.

LOL @ marks talking about in ring. LOL
Pro-wrestling is about storylines PERIOD>
The fake fighting is just a vehicles to move the story.

Some how kids got confused and think who can do the best flips and acrobatics means a damn thing. LOL

The in ring product makes wrestling unique and lasting. An all storyline show like every single other show puts it in range to get canceled like every other show.

unfortunately for Seth, part of being a pro wrestler is compelling people to watch the show and you could just swap him out for Roman, Finn, AJ, babyface turn Drew and the shows would be exactly the same

I would say just in the E alone Bryan, Sami, Owens, Kofi are all better wrestlers because they are making the spot they are in whereas with Seth it feels like he’s waiting for his spot to make him

Chris Jericho On Why Seth Rollins Vs. Baron Corbin At Stomping Grounds Is What's Wrong With WWE Now
By Jeffrey Needham | June 22, 2019

Current AEW contender Chris Jericho spoke about the current WWE product while previewing Sunday's Stomping Grounds pay-per-view on his Talk Is Jericho podcast. Jericho discussed the main event of Stomping Grounds featuring Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin, and mentioned how that is one example of what is wrong with current WWE programming.

"This match, to me, once again is one of the problems with WWE and maybe one of the reasons why tickets haven't sold well in Tacoma," Jericho said. "We just saw this match two weeks ago at Super [Show Down]. The classic thing is my neighbor is a good guy too, [that] doesn't mean [Corbin] should be headlining pay-per-views over and over again."

Jericho credited Corbin for his positive traits, however did admit to not seeing him as main event ready. Instead, Jericho believes a superstar like Samoa Joe defending his United States Championship is better suited for the main event prestige.

"There's heat, there's go-away heat, there's this guy isn't ready heat," Jericho explained. "Corbin [is a] solid worker, solid personality, great guy. I don't think he's ready for the main event especially when you got Samoa Joe four or five matches down working for the United States Championship. Flip-flop it. Let Corbin work his way up through the ranks and let a guy who is a legit proven headliner who has drawn money. I know you're not suppose to say TNA in WWE but let's be honest, the biggest pay-per-view in TNA history was Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe. Joe can walk the walk and talk the talk. I think Corbin is still learning. I think the difference in this one is that there's a special guest referee that's going to be chosen by Corbin."

However Jericho or the WWE Universe views Corbin, he is slated to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship this Sunday at WWE's inaugural pay-per-view Stomping Grounds. Adding to the stakes, the match is set to feature a special guest referee chosen by challenger Corbin. For weeks now,WWE has teased the special guest referee announcement, but has yet to pen an official name.

Tbh @David_TheMan ain't exactly wrong. Isn't that the reason why a lot of folks complain now? Because most of the matches have no stakes behind them and the stories that they do have suck?

Think about when you reminisce about older eras. 9 times out of 10, you're not thinking about ring work. When you think of some of the biggest all time moments, you're thinking about a promo, a segment, something particular that happened DURING a match, or the standalone result of a match.

No one is thinking about the work rate of Austin and Rock's various matches for example. They're thinking about when Austin stunned Rock at Backlash when he was holding the camera, or the heel turn at WM17, or the beer truck segment leading up to WM15, among other moments.

Yeah no one wants to watch a shyt show of a match, and good ring work is appreciated, but what draws people to the matches in the first place is the story. This is even true for real sports. Just look at the NBA. The finals ended almost two weeks ago but everybody is still interested because of the story of whether Kawhi is staying, the CP3/Harden nonsense, and where everyone is going during free agency.
