Pro-wrestling has always been about storyline.
Even in the golden era of the 30s it was about storyline. Gorgeous George was a villain a heel, you paid to see him lose, and put a face over.
Thats storyline.

NWA, WWF, WCW, Mid South, Florida Wrestling, Memphis, and etc all about story.

Wrestling is male theater, its all storyline.

The ability to tell a story in a ring is more paramount that arcrobatics and the other bullshyt.

Doesn't matter your dance choreography and the complixity. If a hulking out and a leg drop can connect with the audience, its superior than all the flippy shyt in the world. We saw that with Hulk and Rock, hell we saw that with Stone Cold, Hulk, Rock, Crow Sting, and etc.

Some of you marks are just confused, probably because you don't know beter

Storylines mattered back in the old days because they ran one or two storylines A YEAR. That’s why they are remembered so much. If you had a storyline that was a sign that you were of great importance. Everyone getting a storyline and being a F grade soap is Vince Russo bullshyt. Vince remembers Piper cracking Snuka with the coconut and how great that was, and people got the idea that if they do it every single week, we’ll have 52 great moments just like it. No.

Ok, my guy. You right they're clearly the best. :mjlol:

So you know, should AEW fail, it'll be because of bytch made shyt like this. Y'all hardcore Elite fans are completely unwilling to accept that people could possibly think they are merely very good wrestlers, as opposed to the absolute best.

Breh, the Bucks have good matches, but storytelling isn't anywhere close to being on the list of shyt they actually do well in ring.

Tell me, what's the story of the matches they've had with the Lucha Bros? Tons of cool shyt has happened in those matches, but there's nothing storytelling wise that puts them head and shoulders above a midcard NJPW match. Matter fact, you could argue that only one of them knows how to effectively sell, and he just started doing that on a level that people paid attention to last year.

They're really good wrestlers, but are by no means perfect, or God tier storytellers, and it's okay for people to think otherwise. This shyt with looking down your nose at someone that disagree is the embodiment of all the corniest shyt that people hate about wrestling fans.

Young Bucks wrestled one match since January 4, Lucha Bros wrestled in Mexico 18 hours earlier and they go 3-4 days per week. Commentary beat that point into our heads all match and the wrestlers told that story in the ring. Story.

I think Rollins is feeling the pressure of being top guy, having everything. The woman and top belt but ratings are sinking, attendance is dwindling and fans are hijacking his title defenses and chanting the name of an unproven brand. It doesn't help that Dean jumped ship and part of him probably feels betrayed so he's gotta defend his turf but he lost this one.

He responded defensively and threw out insults like wanted some smoke. He fell into some traps that he put himself in and came across bad. Calling dudes dorks, bringing up his bank account, being assisted by Baron Corbin who tried to big league didn't help.

Seth Rollin’s tweet is exactly what is wrong with WWE and wrestling as a whole. How can you be the best in world when putting are tuning out to your reign? These muthafukkas care more about how many finisher kick outs and floppy shyt they can fit in 30 minutes rather than developing engaging characters fans can invest in. When I was a kid I grew up on characters like Rock, Austin & Triple H. Kids these days got Seth & Baron Corbin :hhh:

This was just a oneshot but it should have set the trajectory of Rollins character.

Here we are 6 months later, after beating Lesnar at Wrestlemania and Rollins is lukewarm, getting into twitter feuds, burying Ambrose and tagging with Becky.

We all didn’t appreciate Cena as much as we should have. I’m guilty
