Podcast/social media is about Jerry Springer crazy outtakes and no one is checking for her or Michael Smith ..

At least Michael was able to transition into NBC sunday games with reports..

They was good at ESPN strictly on the sports talk,, but they tried to bring up politics which hurt them

Internet is not reality.

Think she's finding this out sadly.
People love to hear woke rhetoric but the majority of people go :usure: if they have to sacrifice with you. Then you lose all your opportunities while said ppl you were fighting for, go about their day. fcked up but its the reality :francis:

shoutout to Kaep but he found out the hard way.

She used up all of her goodwill when she posted that “Black Men Are the White People of Black People” article. She may not admit it but that’s what ultimately blew her support

It was stupid then and even worse looking back now. People like her think Twitter followers and likes = real life. When the people who REALLY have the bag come through and cut all that shyt out she ends up looking like a dummy.

Jemelle had one of the biggest bag fumbles of all time lol
Disagree, Jemelle cashed out :hubie:

She got a deal from Spotify in 2019, that was during the peak podcast craze , they were throwing crazy money around for podcast 'networks'. Jemelle reportedly got a 3 year $12 million deal from them. ESPN darling and a consensus great analyst Mina Kimes just got $1.7 million deal from ESPN meanwhile Jemelle was pulling more than double for some half ass podcast :mjlol:

She also became a writer for The Atlantic and got a book deal,

She was getting 2.5 mil per for that half hour show on espn :yeshrug: that show was popular so the re-up would have beeb crazy :wow:

She had to split the 12 mil from spotify to other ppl on the network no?

Her 'network' only had two other podcasts, hosted by African studies professor and another with a writer/activist host, so I highly doubt she was paying them shyt.

I didn't know she was making $2.5 million at the time :ehh:so she probably got paid out by ESPN and then double dipped at Spotify :wow: With the way ESPN lays people off that re-up wouldn't have been guaranteed.

The only one that you could say lost out is Michael Smith :francis:

Michael Smith basically took a bullet for her and he didnt get shyt from it. Not even love
Imagine how his wife felt breh walked away from 7 figures cuz of another woman getting let go like she takes care of their family or something. It took years for breh to land on his feet and build something after losing that platform
