The thing is O'Day right now is unhittable. A-Rod isn't the only one that can't pick up the ball off his hands. Everyone looks stupid against O'Day.

I know and I don't get this move honestly I want to win but unless the team had a uprising and asked for him out the lineup it looks like they pressing . Now a few things can happen Chavez does nothing and girardi gets killed or he can do something we win then next find Arod plays he's getting booed in the first inning for grounding out .:merchant: buck probably telling his team how the Yankees Re pressing and get a run Versus our ace and well fall apart . CC needs a shut down effort tonight

Any chance the Yanks could eat up some (most) of his contract and trade him? Would another team take him for say $10 mill/ year?

o'day is mostly unhittable vs righties...girardi doesnt pinch hit for arod last night with a chance to win the series with a flyball/groundout but NOW he benches him ? a little late there joe

exactly! I was like why dont you pinch hit for him, that was the game from the Yankees side. benching him now doesnt recreate that moment again and it has big repercussions maybe for years to come

these managers wouldnt even be able to scapegoat Arod if the media/fans werent always on his case.

breh youre really asking the Yanks to give 20 mill a year to someone not on their team? not to mention I dont even think another team would take him for 10 mill, hes gonna be here

probably averages out to around 15 mill a year, deal goes down after the next 2 years. But ya most teams wouldn't bother taking on arod for 10 mill (would say all but plenty of dumb gm's out there. jays got rid of wells, red sox dumped horrible deals on the dodgers). Seems like the Yanks would be better off without this circus and a younger .750 ops guy at 3b with the savings.

The circus wouldn't go anywhere. It's gonna be here forever.

People say this shyt all the time. I remember when A-Rod opted out and everyone truly believed we would be so much better off signing a Joe Crede or a Chone Figgins with that money.

The reality is that the closest thing the Yankees have to a 3B of the future is a guy they drafted a year ago (Dante Bichette Jr).

to everyone else, if you're wondering why A-Rod is getting scapegoated, take a look in the mirror.

Funny thing is, A-Rod said that in the press conference.

Are people really pretending a-od isn't having as bad a postseason as Cano, Granderson, and Swisher? They all look like shyt, with Granderson and a-rod having the worst at bats by far. Chavez has hit better than a-rod against righties all year, there's no benching Cano, and Gardner apparently isn't ready for the moment. It ain't the craziest thing ever.

That being said, I would play a-rod, play Gardner in center, and DH Chavez or Ibanez. Unless there's something physically wrong with him the Yanks haven't told the public, or he's just an even bigger weirdo/nutcase than I ever imagined, it doesn't make sense to me that you sit him in a deciding game. Which makes me think there's something else going on here. Or else Joe just doesn't like Grimace-lips.

If you're holding up a laptop that has a webpage open to a picture of his salary to the mirror, then yes, the answer is in the mirror :lolbron:

I think it's the wrist. Before he broke the wrist, A-Rod was hitting very well. That and his mechanics are :scusthov:
