Difference between what torre did and girardi is that torre had no ties to arod. Without A-rod girardi would be still wearing no. 27.

I just can't see how you bench Arod but not sit Granderson. If Gardner can't play then why waste a roster spot that could've gone to dikkerson.99.

If I'm relying on Chris dikkerson to get me through playoff series, that's a problem. Thank God Martin's showed a pulse. Otherwise we'd be hearing about wanting Francisco Cervelli in there again.

If we lose, after I make it rain in frustration, I'll be back and break some shyt down. The way I see it is that the team won't do as much as we think, but there are moves to be made whether they win or not.

The binder would have told Joe to start A-Rod.

This is Joe giving the fans and especially you, what they've wanted all along: a chance to win without involving A-Rod.

Like many of you have already said, I don't see how you can bench A-Rod, yet still have Granderson in the line up. Joe is still waiting on the HR from Curtis. Problem is he's not going to get any good pitches as long as he keeps swinging at crap. But whatever man let's just see what happens. Nothing we can do at this point expect hope and pray :manny:.

Are people really pretending a-od isn't having as bad a postseason as Cano, Granderson, and Swisher? They all look like shyt, with Granderson and a-rod having the worst at bats by far. Chavez has hit better than a-rod against righties all year, there's no benching Cano, and Gardner apparently isn't ready for the moment. It ain't the craziest thing ever.

That being said, I would play a-rod, play Gardner in center, and DH Chavez or Ibanez. Unless there's something physically wrong with him the Yanks haven't told the public, or he's just an even bigger weirdo/nutcase than I ever imagined, it doesn't make sense to me that you sit him in a deciding game. Which makes me think there's something else going on here. Or else Joe just doesn't like Grimace-lips.
I saw Arod get a hit y and a walk grandy hasn't done anything in recent games .
Girardi sounds like hes feeling himself and that's not a good look. He didn't even try to defend Arod he pretty much threw him under the bus :childplease:While making excuses for Curtis

I don't think girardi is a good manager and his benching of Arod and pretty much scapegoating him is unacceptable . Unless orders came from up high he should deflect the attention instead he increased it .you really think Arod can pinch hit now with this attention ?

Girardi consulted Cashman and the goons before doing this.

Management is riding with him on this.

Fans can't bytch about wanting A-Rod to get benched and then be scared of the shyt that comes with that. Next thing you know, if we win, everyone's gonna want him and Curtis and Swisher off the roster for the ALCS thinking the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees feat. Derek Jeter will beat the Tigers.

I wouldn't have benched A-Rod either, but hitting A-Rod, Swisher, and Granderson back to back to back in the 7-8-9 hole wouldn't have been reassuring either to fans.

This is CC's game. One run gotta be enough.

But I have a weird feeling this is gonna be the game the offense gets going.

And when I say get going, I mean 4 runs:youngsabo:

:ufdup:I've never wanted him benched it's the minority who wants him benched . Most fans just want him dropped or to bench grandy /swisher . The logic that guys who never had a good post season would have one while at the every least carried us before he deserves chances I can't subscribe to the he's Arod so he gets the blame theory. Cano is our best player yet never cant big hits he should be on front street saying he should do better

It's not the minority. I wish it were, but it's not. It hasn't been that way even in games where we're blowing them out. I've noticed that all year with A-Rod. When you get booed during games where you're blowing teams out, it ain't a small group that want this.

I gotta get to the game. Hopefully we're still talking about these lineups in present tense tomorrow.
