Not saying you dont have a overall good point about her but you're naive as hell if you think artist can just walk up to those stations or whatever and ask for interviews. It's a business. And most of the time its not up to the personalities sitting there either. Had she been on a major she'd be up there as part of the promotional budget the label would spend on her. And those stations are owned by iHeart, Emmis etc so they go hand-in-hand. Aint like she can just call and be like "ay, im coming next week". Its not even up to the on air personalities most of the time.

Its true. If u don't have that industry backing u aint gettin that promo. If u aint in the system of selling out, gettin that major budget or keeping it pc u aint gettin no buzz. Or your just not popular or keepin ur name on Twitter tmz etc. Sadly they aint checkin for u. I love Jean Grae too I wish talent, strickly good production and bars truly sold. But this industry has always been about selling yourself or whoring yourself out.
