Jayson Tatum gave me depression again

he shouldn’t try to play like either, he’s way taller than both. Kobe was 6’6, Pierce 6’7. Tatum like 6’10. He should be shooting over the top of everyone.

Tatum shot ugly and it's a miracle when it hits nothing but net, mans shot look like a construction worker shooting bricks

I'm not going to shyt on Tatum he has been phenomenal since being drafted but he has his weaknesses.

My one issue with Tatum is the one thing I've noticed ever since his nba career started he is one of the most egregious push-off artist I've ever seen. Almost every single drive there is some form of arm extension to create space with could speak to a lack of explosiveness to finish the move all the way normally

They wanna be Kobe but they don’t got the borderline psycho drive to practice 10,000 hours to make those shots. That’s why Kobe crazy ass could hit them. Tatum need to stick to layups and five footers until further notice

The 10000 hours thing is a myth. It's all dependent on the individual. The elite do it well under 10k. And that's not even considering natural hand eye coordination which helps speeds up learning.

And even if you do make the 10k mark doesn't mean you'll have mastered something. Studies have shown it can take longer.

I don't even want him to play like PG

He should be playing like Kawhi or Paul Pierce. Be that slow methodical big strong forward that is elite from mid range, dominant in the post, average athleticism, drawing fouls all day on smaller opponents, and shoots 3's on occasion

He should but he lacks either of those guys strength and he has smaller hands

So just forget game 1 where he shot 33% .. game 2 where he was outplayed by jaylen and damn near grant Williams .. game 3 shot 21% .. game 4 outplayed by horford .. game 5 he scored a lot but shot terrible .. but yeah he scored 46 game 6 ..

Tatum can be a very tough, frustrating watch if you actually look closely at the game and not just the box score. Hope he gets it together this series but I dunno.

It’s a lot of all stars that if they are allowed to have terrible games and then shoot 32 times with 15 3’s that will give you 46 lol
