Black people who grow up without fathers find it difficult when another man in this case, officer of the law, tells them what to do. So what did he say which was wrong?

People who commit crime should be in jail. Again what did he say which was wrong?

So are we keeping that same energy on coli posters who blame single motherhood as the primary cause of the Black community's ills or nah.

And I disagree with him on that one, if anything single moms go out of their way to make sure kids line up with authority.

My spirit won’t allow me to go thru this thread b/c I’m afraid I’m gonna see people agree and try to justify this shyt.

People aren’t actually debating this are they?

Like you can’t possibly be blk, have lived in America, know the history and context of the American judicial system and police brutality...PARTICULARLY against blks, and be believing this shyt.....?

:dahell: Hell U could be a blk billionaire and still get pulled over and shot with impunity for being blk in America, whether u had a daddy or not.

Nope. You’ll be pleasantly surprised that most of us are on the same accord. I’m probably one of the biggest advocates for marriage & I would not blame single parents for racists cops. That’s ridiculous. Especially when cops were racist in the 60s when black folks had the highest marriage rates or 70s & prior where most of us looked like we just stepped out of church. None of that mattered to racists.

Again I agree J is wrong for not mentioning that racialised abuse by police nationwide is something we must address and im sure its something Hov will correct after the backlash as he should.

And again, I'll ask you like I asked them nikkas up there:

Has single parenthood had an adverse effect on our youth development or not, if it has, is it an issues we should tackle or not? Give me a yes or no answer, no more juelzin and smilies my man we've done enough of that already.

Dont bother responding if you can give me a straight answer, I aint about to play these hoe ass games with yall.
What does kids being raised in single parent households have to do with police relations in our communities though which Jayz was talking about.

I and many others on this forum have been talking about broken black famiily units for awhile.

You can read any of the DOJ reports on Baltimore, Ferguson, Chicago, Philadelphia police departments and they are consistent about the negative police practices and deliberate violations of civil rights of African Americans. The Chicago one reported an instance of a policeman instructed to initiate a search on a black man were the superior officer said he didn't care about reasonable suspicion . In Ferguson a black man was accused of being a paedophile because he was resting in his car near a playground. In New York there was a secret recording of a stop were a police officer stopped a black teen threatened to break his arm and called him a "mutt" . A lot of the issues start with the philosophy of policing that escalate situation and affect people who aren't breaking any laws.
@bolded christ, now you gotta watch out where you even rest:why:

idk why that took me off its just, dang

Actually that’s dialogue from The Dark Knight by Harvey Dent. :yeshrug:

technically that line stems and influenced by this

"He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." -Frederick Nietzsche.

this is the original^^^^

@bolded christ, cant even rest at a playground now:what:?

Even relatively routine misconduct by Ferguson police officers can have significant consequences for the people whose rights are violated. For example, in the summer of 2012,a 32-year-old African-American man sat in his car cooling off after playing basketball in a Ferguson public park. An officer pulled up behind the man’s car, blocking him in, and demanded the man’s Social Security number and identification. Without any cause, the officer accused the man of being a pedophile, referring to the presence of children in the park, and ordered the man out of his car for a pat-down, although the officer had no reason to believe the man was armed. The officer also asked to search the man’s car. The man objected, citing his constitutional rights. In response, the officer arrested the man, reportedly at gunpoint, charging him with eight violations of Ferguson’s municipal code. One charge, Making a False Declaration, was for initially providing the short form of his first name(e.g., “Mike” instead of “Michael”),and an address which, although legitimate, was different from the one on his driver’s license.Another charge was for not wearing a seat belt, even though he was seated in a parked car. The officer also charged the man both with having an expired operator’s license, and with having no operator’s license in his possession. The man told us that, because of these charges,he lost his job as a contractor with the federal government that he had held for years.
