Honestly I had no interest in a new Jay-Z album but I heard The Story of O.J. on the radio yesterday and it reeled me in.

This is the Jay-Z album I want in 2017. I have to give it some time but it's definitely his best work since American Gangster and I might wind up liking this more than that. It's very cohesive, perfect length and the content is what I want to hear from him at this point. He's not chasing today's sound or collaborating with who's hot at the moment for a hit. I didn't expect to like this but I am really feeling it after a few listens. Great job NO I.D.

this.

too early to tell but this might be jays best album this millennium

in the footsteps of their forebears. They aren't saying what Gil-Scott Heron, Marvin Gaye, Stevie
Wonder, James Brown and so on were saying in the 70's. It's probably given a modern context and rapped instead of
sung or delivered like spoken word but truly they didn't start that shyt either since we're doing the "who did it first" thing
especially in Black American Music.
