Some things should be left untouched, the outer space jason bs was :trash:

I liked Freddy vs Jason and thought the 2009 one with the violence was :ohlawd:.

Just wanna add being :old:, the new generation has no clue of picking out cheesy horror movies at video stores. shyt was :ohlawd:

Some area's might have video stores, I haven't seen or been in one since 2006 round here

Really? I thought part 6 was all about having fun and it was very tongue in cheek...let's be honest, none of the Jason movies were scary; they were supposed to be fun; I think 6 balances the tone of humorous and thriller extremely well. The remake toook itself too serious like all those Platinum remakes; it was no fun.

Humor isn't bad. It's a definite part of the movies. But the humor in Part 6 just hits you over the head. Like Crispin Glover's dance in Final Chapter is funny but it just exists. Part 6 is all "let's have a character turn directly to the camera and say 'Some people have a strange idea of entertainment.'"

I've definitely got the minority opinion on this though, people love Part 6.

I see what you're saying. It is more tongue in cheek than any other movie outside of Freddy vs. Jason...part 4 was still trying to be horror with a bit of comedy sprinkled in

As someone who grew up on those 80's Friday the 13th flicks, #2 was always one of my favorites.....

Something about Jason with that bag over his head with the eyehole was just :merchant:

Also, Friday the 13th series>>>>Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween

There were rumors going around that this reboot would be a found footage movie which just sound dumb as fukk. Even dumber than the last reboot where they had Camp Crystal Lake sitting on top of an old mining shaft. Who would build a kid's camp on top of a fukking mining shaft?

the reason why they put the old mining shaft in there was to explain the teleportation powers Jason has, how he always ended up at opposite ends of the camp killing mufukkers in no time, same reason why there was weed in the movie because Jason got to earn a living, the movie tried to be logical......

yeah, I know.....:snoop:

i'm curious about this found footage movie, but i have no problem with the the 2009 film, i hate to be that casting agent. How do you top drowning America Olivio in coppertone and only shoot her at night or deep in the woods? How do you top Julianna Guill perfect and unexpected titties in the third act? How do you top Willa Ford being the third baddest betch in the film and she is nude?

I agree with you on Sam from supernatural, he is only there to challenge the jock which of course never happens

Yeah exactly. I don't think the tongue in cheek-ness works, at least it doesn't for me.

The 2009 remake having the frat boy a$$hole be the literal exact same frat boy a$$hole from the first Transformers is pretty funny in a way that it doesn't lose itself up its own ass.

That was my problem with the remake. it had absolutely no reason to exist and added nothing refreshing, exciting, or fun; its the same shyt (except with more useless blood like all the Platinum remakes) and the victims were boring as shyt; that frat boy wasn't even annoyingly fun; he was bland...let's be real: shyt was remade for a cash grab and that's it; I pretend like the remake doesn't exist because it added nothing to series

I'm a Marcus Nispel apologist, so I'm gonna be partial towards his Friday the 13th. His Texas Chainsaw remake was some good shyt. His Conan movie was bad though. Most movies are made for cash anyways!

No offense breh, but Nispel is a hack. He's the Brett Ratner of horror remakes. And that Texas Chainsaw shyt was a dumpster fire too.

Nah no way. I once read the perfect takedown of Ratner, it was something like he's a little kid holding a shotgun, he's got all this power but he has no fukking clue what to do with it. Nispel knows what he's doing. The Texas Chainsaw remake is dirty, grimy shyt. It's not perfect, it has missteps but they nail the look of it completely. The original is already dirty and grimy but in a way that works perfectly for a mid-1970s low budget horror movie. The remake is slick in a way that really works with the hopelessness and nihilism of the movie.

R. Lee Ermey is just gross as hell in that movie, too. Slimy motherfukker.

The rest of the Platinum Dunes stuff doesn't work though. Like Amityville Horror? Who gives a shyt. And their Elm Street remake has to be hands down the worst thing they've ever done.
