The other problem I had with the first Friday the 13th reboot was that they cast Sam from Supernatural as the hero and he was bigger than Jason was. I expected him to get all brolic on Jason and murder him with ease.
2009 one was very dope to me. Just didn't make enough money for the studio I guess.

Found footage is a bad idea for this franchise and ANOTHER reboot? 
Not that the reboot was any good, though. First off, we should've had Freddy vs. Jason 2. The studio dropped the ball on that one. Should've been a no-brainer given the fact that it actually made money.
Secondly, they shouldn't have done a reboot at all and if they weren't going with FvJ 2, they should've just had Jason pop up at Crystal Lake killing people again. People know Jason's story of who he is and what he does, it doesn't need to be repeated. They just want 90 minutes of goofy fun featuring boobs & blood. It's not rocket science and they could've done it like the Bond movies do and basically make each movie standalone. If I was in charge, I DEFINITELY would make sure to ignore Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X.

nah, that was the entire Friday the 13th series 1-8...jason X was cool until he became that lame ass cyborg, after that, it was unwatchable
