Yeah I wasn't too impressed with the first 10-12 minutes of the main event but they turned it around with all the killer counters and transitions towards the end. Tanahashi/Styles was pretty good, really liked the finish

Tanahashi becoming master of the roll ups towards the end of the tournament

agree that the angle afterwards was just lame though.

Shibata/Goto was pretty weird, not nearly as good as I hoped it would be. They really overdid the no selling and there was a few really sloppy exchanges near the start. It did have maybe the GOAT GTS though. Alright show but there were a few better over the past couple of weeks. Can Honma get a win :why: Also have to :salute: the camera man for his work with Maria :whew:

For a Dome show, the crowd was pretty damn hot for the final. The final section of that match was fukking awesome, the rest was fine. I liked that they didn't OD for the ending so they have plenty to work with for a future rematch :blessed:

Don't want Jarret near New Japan, stick to promoting for fukks sakes :snoop:
How did bullet club form in new japan ? and why were that allowed to get all the belts ? It seems like a lot of people who follow new jApan closely don't like them and complain. They got me into new Japan

Bullet Club was created last year when they decided to give Prince Devitt an "openweight" kinda push (his Jr. Heavyweight status was no longer a big deal when booking him against bigger opponents) and turn him heel. The stable consisted of all foreign guys and with time, it became the de-facto group for any gaijin that started working semi-regularly in New Japan. It's an easy way to try to give new people heat.

Why are they booked to win belts? Well, New Japan's history is filled with heel stables wrecking havoc so I guess Jado & Gedo (the bookers) want to portray them as a legit force.

They operate like an American heel stable, which means lots of interferences and dirty finishes in their matches. The Japanese style puts a lot of emphasis on treating it a bit more like a sport, with man-to-man bouts and clean finishes. Jado and Gedo decided to book the Bullet Club in the exact opposite manner in order to garner easy heat, as well as possibly establish their foreignness to the NJPW audience.

This doesn't please long-time NJPW watchers on both sides of the Pacific, since it affects the quality of the matches quite a bit.

Damn I NEED one of these bullet club shirts. Swear they could start a clothing chain with that logo :wow:

New Japan got a American store at http://www.prowrestlingtees.com/

I'm thinking about coping the their shirt too breh

As for the G1 final show, I thought it was pretty good show. though they need to chill with adding people to Bullet Club. Because its starting to get NWO levels of outlandish, Scott D'amore even had a shirt on during that Jarett segment.

I remember he did the same counter for a G-1 semifinal against Go Shiozaki a couple of years ago. shyt had me  for a minute. That match is probably my favorite 30 minute time limit draw in last 7 years.

*Remembers when Shiozaki was supposed to be NOAH's next big thing*

*Remembers how NOAH totally fukked up Shiozaki being the next big thing*

*Remembers how much better Tanahashi looked than Shiozaki that one time they wrestled in the Dome*

*Remembers how much better he looked at times in NJPW than in NOAH*

:snoop:

Gonna have to get one of those Bullet Club shirts myself. Rare wrestling t-shirt that you can wear and not look like a complete dork.

Might have to look into getting Okada's "Red Ink" tee as well. :patrice:
