Seibu Dome was a mixed bag compared to some of the more stellar shows of the tournament. The most important match ended up delivering big though.

Jarrett/Bullet Club angle was no good. Zero interest in seeing him face Tanahashi.

I thought the best match on the show outside of the main was Time Splitters/reDragon. I could actually see Kyle O'Reilly making something of himself in Japan. His offense was getting over well, and he has the height to potentially move up to heavyweight down the line.

Jarrett needs to be the first person they jump out of the clique. It could set up a nice feud for Global too and get them more over in Japan

I have a question for you, Puro brehs. Is Tetsuya Naito a heel? Or becoming one? I mean, he's getting boos sometimes, and has some heel attitudes during his matches.

As far as I know, no, Naito's still very much a face. But you do hit on an issue that I've had with him for quite a bit: his mannerisms remind me of the snot-nosed punk kid that you always wanted to smack, even when he means well. I don't think he's trying to play heel or anything like that, but some of him habits (especially when he tries to play intense) just annoy and repel rather than endear the crowd to him. It was a factor in getting the crowd to turn on him when he faced Okada (who just has a very naturally cool charisma about him) and is something that's going to need to be alleviated if he's going to be a major player in the company's future.

Went to the ROH show im Brooklyn last night. Bullet Club is over AS fukk here. At least a third of the crowd had their shirts on. And I finally got mine too :banderas:

Jeff Jarrett would have to be stupid not to bring them over to the US.
Thank you blessed devitt, fergal truly is the real rock n rolla

He became a sort of Tanahashi circa-2006ish tweener last year. He was legit getting shyt on because his push (winning the G1) didn't really match up with what he was doing, but then he got kinda hot (like, right as he started embracing it). He doesn't really do anything OVERTLY heelish, he's just showing some edge averting the super babyface shyt he had going on before which was starting to wear thin. He was getting some X-Pac late last year, from December on he's done the occassional jerk move intentionally, just like Tana did (and still occassionally does when the crowd is behind a guy more than him).

From what i was seeing assumed he was like a wade Barrett type heel who the fans cheer due to liking the character

Nah he was a super babyface whose push had gotten fukked up twice by major injuries. He came back from the last one and wasn't really the same as he was before and won the G1, and a lot of his performances in the G1 were ehhhhh. And nowadays, winning the G1 means you get the title shot at the biggest show of the year 1/4 in the Dome, and he just wasn't at the level where people were buying into it. The biggest example of this is that after so much negative response to him NJPW had a fan vote where they could decide what the main event was, Okada/Naito for the IWGP belt or Nakamura/Tanahashi for the upper midcard IN title, and of course Tana/Naka won. After the G1 Naito had another bleh match against Yujiro, and then he beat Masato Tanaka for the NEVER belt, but still, it just reeked of someone getting pushed down peoples throats and his response during this time was getting mixed. Then in the final push for the Dome he started doing some heelish things and it worked as the fans actually bought him as a threat. He does it off and on now ever since. I think his future will be really mastering it, when to just flip out and go bezerk in his matches because the people are fukking with that.

Think of it as a Cena situation. Whereas sometimes Cena in response to a negative crowd does that super extra unnecessary matwork to prove he can "wrestle", Naito will flip out and start stiffing a breh to show that ain't soft and isn't there to fukk around.

Thanks, brehs. I've always liked Naito, since he was on TNA. He always seemed the best of the two (between him and Yujiro), and even now it seems Yujiro is getting kinda worse in the ring. That Miami Shine move seems like is going to kill someone someday.
