I hate to see our people being exploited and vulnerable but many Jamaicans are often too busy trying to stunt on the rest of the Caribbean and compete in pointless AA vs Jamaican pissing contests instead of trying to be productive.

They need to but just wait for the next prime minister to fix the previous one's errors. It never happens obviously. It actually makes my blood boil that some Black leaders will let their people suffer and bask in the money.

Obviously it's not the issue lol but you would think the way certain Jamaicans go on that they live in the most developed land on Earth compared to everyone else but I guess that's another issue. The politicians that are making these deals with no regard for their people make me sick.

China came in easy tho. We have so many problems. I'll list a few.
1.) Corruption. (Stupid corruption too) Politicians compromised and in bed with gun-men, workers steal, people vote by party out of tradition, people misuse money sent from abroad, crooked banks and their fees, and politicians probably take bribes for dumb legislative benefits, feed hangers-on, family, and party. Wouldn't count on the politicians being bribed/black-mailed by foreign countries either.
2.) Corruption again.
fukked up, but a lot of them construction jobs out there have party and don (gunmen influence) running rampant. The infrastructure contract jobs was either pocketed by superiors, over-budget, took too long, or cheap materials used. Plus politics factors in. There are roads in my father's area that are still dirt roads since he was a kid. (He's 60 yrs old) Apparently, the pnp officials and people on the nearby paved road saw the houses were a little too nice (repatriates) and thought that they were JLP.
3.) The crime rate is horrible. Business people and people are robbed, killed, and extorted. Not a safe environment for returnee or their money if your family or gun-men are looking for a lick. I'm positive they have ammo-producing machines in Ja that were smuggled in, so gov't does not have a monopoly on force. In bed with politicians. Messed up part is that kids going buck-wild and you got entire communities be on that "Free X, free x "or "Leave, X alone."
4.) Overly religious. Too many fukking churches.
I know most of the older females in my family know spend a lot of time at church or related activities and don't expand much into developmental secular things in balance. I also know they give more than 10% of the earnings. Thing is, they slower on the uptake on current affairs than they should be.
