Things don't have to directly affect you for them to matter. Just because you don't feel something personally doesn't mean it's not happening. Just take the mask completely off already, and throw your full weight behind Trump.

@B86This what they always fall back to. "I ain't gotta know anyone personally."

Sad life.

Imagine quoting this smug, condescending bullshyt and thinking you're making a point. :russ:

Dismissing concern for others as pathological is just a lazy rationalization for indifference wrapped in pseudo-profound nonsense. :mjlol:

The comment it's responding to is even more absurd.

Edit: They're both well-off white dudes too, which makes their comments even more absurd. They're the kind of people who don't have to worry too much about the consequence of political decisions, because their whiteness and money insulate them from the harm.

Doesn't the average person though live off the benefits that were gained off the efforts of the people who were stressing and protesting though? Even as a black person, I'm watching folks try to dismantle policies that'd been put into place years before I was born but which have afforded me a life better than my grandparents had when they were living thru Jim Crow...I didn't pay that price. Someone else did.

This seems completely out of touch. Folks are able to throw their focus into their families because of societal systems which, when they are running as expected, allow us to be able to worry about other things...somebody somewhere already made the sacrifice when they worried about problems and tried to fight to fix them.

See the agents. Know the agents. Move accordingly.

Focus on yourself and building your family. If you're good at that, focus on the community and expand.

Or don't and sit on the Internet complaining all day, pretending that it makes you "politically aware" or that you're "making a difference."

I remember during the first and second Bush administration all these armchair ass dummies were complaining about him and his policies. Saying they would have to leave the country.

Same thing during the Wall Street troubles.

Remember during Obama's two terms people were acting like they were motivated to do something.

It was all pointless and time wasting bullshyt talk.

The blueprint remains the same. It's not talk, it's focusing on getting into good universities or building a good skill.

It's finding good partners to build families with. It's building up your kids to have skills and be a serious threat in a skill based economy.

Unless you're in a position to affect change, everything else is just bullshyt chatter.

Why are you so emotional? Your thread was proven to be a false narrative given this investment was under way four years ago. And now you were just trolling everyone.

The only way out of this mess in the United States is for the feds to invest couple hundred billions in about 20 nuclear power plants to lower energy cost . They failed to manufacture solar panels in America, Intel is dying, steel manufacturing is dead , auto industry is on it's last leg , Microsoft will take a big hit once the Chinese come up with a good desktop operating system. The railroads are failing , businesses are closing , we have no real 5g internet & prices are out of control

I swear dudes creating these threads do absolutely no research. And if you check their post history you’ll be able to u ravel their motives.

This isn’t Apple’s first headline-grabbing investment announcement. In January 2018, during Trump’s first term, Apple announced a $350 billion contribution to the U.S. economy over five years. That included plans to create 20,000 jobs — the same job creation figure in last week’s announcement. In April 2021, during the Biden administration, Apple announced an “acceleration” of its U.S. investments, with plans to spend more than $430 billion over five years.
