They aren't entertainers though. They are leaders in positions of power. If NBA Youngboy raps about catching bodies, he's merely making a song. The music stops. Trump made the statement and won an election. Look at his entire presidency and it's marred in violence and especially towards us. He sicked the national guard on protestors during marches on Washington. Then he went and rallied rioters to storm the U.S. Capitol. Look at Kemp's policies in regard to gun control and look at the crime in Atlanta specifically murder.

Trump was a celebrity before even jumping into politics. He had that dumb apprentice show on NBC and was in all of the movies back in the days. That dude is and always was a con man. How he got put in power is another question.

Not really hypocritical but moreso keeping it a buck

Keeping it a buck would be someone who doesn't listen to any music that promotes violence and drug use and they took a stance. OR someone admitting "you know what I stopped listening to music that promotes drug usage and violence up to and including my favorite artists" who took a stance against it. Yet, I see people who speak out against current music that promotes violence and drug usage, but will openly listen to the artists whose music was just as violent and promoted drug usage. And the most egregious are the people who use the "Hip Hop promotes drug usage and violence" stance, but post on here everyday. Why are they here? If someone truly feels that way about the music and the culture, why are you actively discussing it and participating in it?

But telling someone else it's bad is still hypocritical. If I'm an alcoholic and I talk about how bad it is, but continue to indulge and tell other people it's bad, I'm a hypocrite.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
When people talk about wanting this ban, they aren't being realistic. Hypothetically speaking, it wouldn't stop with current Hip Hop. It would go all the way back to the 90's and even the '80's and a lot of our favorite artists, including the greats, would catch the ban too. And not only that, when people talk about the music destroying the youth, it's a hypocritical stance as I'm sure it's artists that they champion that have music that promote drug use and violence.
Most people on this site is full of shyt. Everybody always on they high horse on the internet. I’m willing to bet anything in real life majority of these cats is full of shyt or ain’t shyt.
